SWEDEN 2018

In May-June, 2018 members of our family-eight of us in all-flew across the ocean to Hemlandet (Swedish="The Homeland," the land of our ancestors) to spend nine days visiting, travelling and sightseeing. This website is my photographic memorial to those unforgettable days. (Actually, I must give due credit: of the 360 photos we brought home in our iPhones, my contribution was, uh, less than two dozen.) We spent about three days in Grundsund, the home of my father Gustav Henrik Jakobsson, where we met many relatives and saw wonders we'd never seen before; then it was back to Stockholm by train for three days of sightseeing, fine cuisine, and lots of walking on cobblestone streets. Oh my aching, aging feet…but it was worth every step.
