TOM MAGLISCEAU

Tom Maglisceau has served as a public school educator for 22 years, initially as a high school English teacher and coach, and then as an administrator on the high school, middle and elementary levels. He has worked in suburban and urban settings, and he is currently serving as the principal of a dynamic high school learning community of more than 2,200 students in the Dallas, Texas area. Passionate about family structure, communities and social capital, his current research has expanded to the areas of organizational and societal culture, particularly in relation to the influence, of culture on adolescents. With humor, inspiration, and reflective activities, he has presented workshops on his research and practical experience at conferences and schools across the country and throughout Texas.
