Chris Core - Chief Commercial Officer

As Chief Commercial Officer for US Radiology, Chris has senior leadership accountability for sales, marketing, commercial analytics, and corporate communications. He joined us in July 2018 after 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. After graduating from pharmacy school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. Pharmacology and Toxicology, Chris embarked on a career in sales and sales leadership in the biopharmaceutical industry. After completing his MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Chris transitioned into a career in marketing with increasing levels of responsibility across multiple life science companies. He has experience with brands generating $2B+ in annual revenue as well as ultra-orphan disease states with populations of less than 500 patients across the US, and his passion is focusing on how healthcare organizations can help patients have better outcomes and live their best lives.

Gerry Lewis - CIO

Prior to his current role with US Radiology, Gerry most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Ascension Health, the largest nonprofit health system in the U.S., where he successfully led Ascension's IT transformation, the development and implementation of numerous patient and provider applications, and the buildout of the organization's data exchange. Prior to Ascension, he managed large teams and technology implementations at Dell and Compaq and also served as an analyst with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.

Jill Lewandowski - CHRO

As Chief People Officer, Jill has senior leadership responsibility for US Radiology's Talent Acquisition and Human Resources functions. She has played an integral role in improving staffing metrics across the company and standing up several key strategic HR programs, such as Engagement, Talent Management, and Diversity & Inclusion. Prior to US Radiology, Jill built a career of over 25 years in human resources strategy and operations in the healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services industries. She has held various HR leadership positions, most notably at OrthoCarolina, NTT Data, New Era Cap and Deloitte Consulting. In addition to business experience and expertise, Jill is passionate about her non-profit work and her family. Jill is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband and 3 children.

John Perkins - CEO

John has over 25 years of operating experience and a focus on growing and scaling high-quality healthcare companies. In 2018, he joined US Radiology Specialists as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and a member of the board of directors. Previously, John was CEO and board member for Bio Products Laboratory (BPL), a global plasma protein therapeutics company with over 3,000 employees across 45 countries. John led the team that transformed BPL resulting in a 400% increase in value. Prior to becoming CEO of BPL, John was an operating partner for Bain Capital, the financial sponsor that backed BPL. Previously, John was the Executive Vice President of Global Commercial Operations for Talecris Biotherapeutics where he led the team that increased sales from $800 million to $1.6 billion. John also played a significant role in Talecris' Initial Public Offering (IPO), and was instrumental in increasing Talecris' value 40 times to $4 billion.

Julie Szeker - Chief Legal Officer

Julie has more than 15 years of healthcare legal experience, both in-house and in law firm settings. She joined Charlotte Radiology as chief administrative officer and general counsel in 2013 and transitioned to general counsel for US Radiology in 2018. In addition to advising the board and senior leadership as general counsel, she has provided executive leadership over human resources, compliance, quality and risk, leading key restructurings that have positioned the organization for growth. Previously, Julie served as associate general counsel for Carolinas HealthCare System (now Atrium Health) and practiced in the Private Equity/M&A Group at Kennedy Covington (now K&L Gates). She earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan and was a Morehead-Cain scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied political science and economics.

Kurt Janavitz - EVP

Kurt is currently Executive Vice President Managed Care for US Radiology Specialists. Most recently he was President of Hat Trick Consulting, an independent consulting group performing managed care strategy, negotiation, revenue cycle, infrastructure development, business development and other services for health care providers and suppliers. He has 30 years of experience in healthcare finance, strategy, operations and marketing with payers, providers, and management consulting organizations. He has held senior leadership positions with Medical College of Wisconsin, Integrated Health Network of Wisconsin, GenesisCare, and UnitedHealth Group. He previously worked in consulting and health care services with E&Y, Guidehouse, and Vizient. In addition to business experience and expertise, Kurt has served and continues to serve on numerous not-for-profit boards and in other volunteer roles in the Milwaukee community. Kurt is a graduate of Tufts University and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University.

Paul Taheri

Paul is a recognized expert in physician engagement, clinical communications, recruiting, leadership development, managing risk, and clinical delivery optimization. As a clinical partner on the healthcare team at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), he focuses on working with physicians across WCAS portfolio companies. He has served as a practicing physician and senior healthcare operational leader, including as CEO of Yale Medicine, President and CEO of the University of Vermont Medical Group, and Division Chief of Trauma, Burn, and Critical Care and Vice Chair of Surgery at the University of Michigan. Paul is also the past Chair of the Group on Faculty Practices for the Association of American Medical Colleges and an examiner for the American Board of Surgery. He sits on the Boards of US Anesthesia Partners and The Health Management Academy, holds an M.D. from the New York University School of Medicine, and earned an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Peter McPhee - CFO

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Peter McPhee is responsible for overseeing the financial management and strategy of US Radiology, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, tax, treasury, risk management, and private equity investor relations. Before joining US Radiology, Peter most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for National Veterinary Associates (NVA), a global pet care organization and community of more than 1500 veterinary hospitals and pet resorts, leading the company through a period of significant growth and transformation. Prior to his role at NVA, he was Chief Financial Officer of Soho House based in London , an innovative hospitality platform with locations worldwide. Peter has also served in a range of senior finance leadership roles at various international and U.S. companies including Tesco PLC, Fresh & Easy, Yum! Brands, Inc. and KPMG LLP. Peter has a wealth of experience in helping companies grow globally, leading cross-functional teams, and setting up organizations and people for long-term success. He is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics. Peter is a CPA (inactive) and Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Wayne Orvis - COO

In his current role as Chief Operating Officer, Wayne leads both US Radiology's Outpatient Imaging Services business and the company's Center of Excellence for outpatient operations, which allows partner companies to benefit from sharing best practices, key performance indicators, and collaborative problem-solving. Prior to his current role, he spent two decades at Walgreens, where he led a $4 billion region, and was responsible for leading an enterprise customer engagement initiative across nearly 10,000 stores that significantly improved customer ratings and employee experience, and successfully led several other significant enterprise initiatives, including the Rite Aid integration.

Wood Lovell

As President, Joint Ventures & Chief Business Officer, Wood has senior leadership responsibility for US Radiology's Joint Ventures; National Teleradiology; M&A Integrations; Transformation; and HR functions. Prior to joining US Radiology in 2018, Wood spent eleven years at McKesson in a variety of business unit and enterprise executive roles, which included leading multiple business transformations and building two enterprise organizations from the ground-up. Before his time with McKesson, Wood completed a two-year federal judicial clerkship and then spent several years with Troutman Sanders, a full-service national law firm with over 650 attorneys. Wood earned his bachelor's degree from Duke University and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
