Executive Sushi Chef, Yi Feng (Roy), was born and raised in China. At 22 years old, he moved to the U.S. to study English and begin his journey as a sushi chef. Since 2005 Chef Feng has been honing his skills as a food artist by expressing his creativity with multiple San Diego restaurants; Jasmine Bistro, Ginza Sushi, Yuki Sushi, Bambu Sushi, and Domo Sushi.
Chef Feng has worked closely with some of the top sushi chefs in San Diego county, including Chef Hiro-san and Chef Kiyo-san. Being a dream of his to own his very own sushi restaurant, in 2018 Chef Roy Feng and his family took over Ahi Sushi & Grill UTC in 2018 .
