A native of Peru and raised in Miami, Florida, he started his career with Merrill Lynch in 2000 in its Miami International office working exclusively with ultra-high net worth clients from South America. After considering running the Puerto Rico wealth management office for Banco Santander in 2002, he instead left the industry on the heels of 9/11 and moved to Washington D.C. to live with his college sweetheart. He was subsequently hired by Edelman Financial in Fairfax, Virginia where he honed his financial planning skills working with a group of senior financial advisors. In 2004, Angel opted to go back to Merrill Lynch in their Washington D.C. office where he focused on portfolio management and business development. After nine years with Merrill, Angel was recruited by UBS to work and consult to several wealth management teams. In 2019, Angel had the good fortune to seek a position with Veritas Financial and he immediately clicked with founding partners Brock Jolly and Gerald Radican. "These guys get it," he recalls thinking after the initial interview. At Veritas, Angel's responsibilities include synchronizing all aspects of the fee-based financial planning process, the investment research and oversight of the firm, and offering a comprehensive wealth management experience to Veritas clients. Angel is passionate about providing solutions to clients that add value and strives to implement a Family Office approach. Operationally, Angel focuses on increasing efficiency of processes and effectiveness of time management. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business and a bachelors in Political Science from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (Go Blue!). Brock Jolly

In early 2000, when Brock Jolly launched his financial planning career, he - like so many business owners - had a grand vision. He sought to develop a collaborative approach to wealth management that would wholly address a client's financial picture. He was resourceful, creative, and independent, and knew he would eventually figure out how to make his dream a reality. Brock began presenting adult education seminars on college funding strategies. Over the course of the past fifteen years, he has perfected the art of developing educational seminars to make complex financial topics accessible to wide audiences. Brock's college funding seminar teaches parents how to help pay for college for their kids without sacrificing their own retirement savings. Brock's vision of the business would come to fruition in 2014, when he partnered with Gerald Radican to form Veritas Financial. "We merged two varied practices to help a broader set of clients with a deeper set of solutions," Brock explains. He excitedly adds, "Veritas Financial allows us to build something that is much bigger than the sum of our practices, and allows our clients to truly benefit from the synergies of partnership." Gerald Radican

Gerald provides financial concierge service to business owners and key executives. Back in college, if you had asked Gerald Radican if he could imagine a career in the financial services industry, the instant response would have been a resounding "no!" Yet in the summer of his junior year, Gerald was offered an internship to work with his brother-in-law, who was then building a financial planning practice in the Washington, D.C. area. Little did Gerald know at the time that his brother-in-law had a hunch he would be good at this business - and that there really was no internship program. "He thought, if I only got a taste of it, I might like it and stay," laughs Gerald. That hunch proved to be right on the mark: Gerald was a natural fit, and was licensed as a broker even before he graduated from college. "It was truly a great decision to get into this business and to this day, I am thankful for the guidance I received," he says. Now in its third decade of operation, Gerald's financial planning practice continues to thrive. He attributes the strength of his practice to a commitment to building long term relationships with his clients. "If I can provide suitable advice and excellent service that gets people closer to their financial goals, I'm doing my job," he says. Gerald assists clients with diverse needs, ranging from wealth management and financial planning to personal life insurance and executive benefits. Clients experience a comprehensive approach offered through the partners at Veritas Financial, while taking advantage of Gerald's particular subject matter expertise in risk management and his personal attention to their specific needs. "I help my clients address the financial issues in their lives that they know they should, but for any number of reasons don't have the time or desire to," Gerald explains. Gerald earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Radford University. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the Greater Washington Society of Financial Service Professionals. Outside of work, Gerald enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and coaching sports. He resides in Lansdowne, Virginia, with his wife, Michele, and their two children.
