As an expert in mainstreaming biodiversity and ecosystem services into decision-making, I would promote the use of evaluation frameworks to incorporate biodiversity and ecosystem services aspects directly into national and sectoral policies, business and industry. Dr. Jan Henning Sommer Senior Researcher, Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn, Germany - Programme Officer, WABES Member, IPBES capacity building task group & the Open-ended Stakeholder Network (O-NET) Science-policy interfaces, SPIs, are crucial to translate scientific findings into implementable policy options. WABES is a sub-regional SPI that connects experts in West Africa and beyond who are willing to commit to the implementation of the IPBES work programme.
