Joseph R. Weston

Joseph Weston has been in practice for 35 years. He is a certified mediator and arbitrator in South Carolina, and utilizes his many years of litigation experience to help parties successfully resolve their cases through mediation. He has handled thousands of contested cases in a wide variety of practice areas, and has tried over 250 jury trials to verdict in the State and Federal Courts of South Carolina. Mr. Weston has been peer-rated AV Preeminent (highest possible rating) through Martindale Hubbell ®, and he has been listed in South Carolina Super Lawyers ® since 2020. Mr. Weston received his B.A. degree cum laude from Temple University in 1983, and graduated from Rutgers University School of Law in 1986. He has been a frequent lecturer on personal injury and insurance topics, and co-authored An Analysis of Current Theories of Liability, published by the South Carolina Law Review (1994). He also teaches undergraduate business law and graduate level corporate governance classes as an Adjunct Instructor at the College of Charleston. Scott Anthony serves of counsel to Weston Craig Anthony. He advises individuals and business entities on a broad scope of issues related to asset protection, entity formation, and succession planning. He has substantial experience with business transactions, advanced trust planning, and family companies. Scott has served as counsel to numerous business start-ups, small businesses, private companies, inventors, entrepreneurs, and families on numerous domestic and international matters. He was introduced to international legal matters while working in Europe and the Caribbean. His tenure working in the Cayman Islands provides immeasurable insight into the complexities of offshore asset protection. He also served as legal counsel for a Congressional candidate, founded a not-for-profit farming technology company, and was an economic regional planner and forecaster. His representation includes, but is not limited to, operating and organizational agreements, purchase and sale of businesses, promissory note transactions, split-dollar insurance, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements, contract negotiations, capital gain and gift tax mitigation, and asset protection trusts. A native of Georgia, Scott moved to Charleston in 2010. He is the managing partner of the Law Firm of Scott W. Anthony. He is an attorney and civil dispute mediator, licensed to practice law in South Carolina. He currently serves on the South Carolina Arts Foundation Board of Directors. Stephanie P. Anthony

Stephanie Anthony grew up in South Carolina, where she attended the South Carolina Governer's School for the Arts and Humanities. After graduating magna cum laude from Coastal Carolina University with a B.A. in English, she moved to Charleston and graduated from Charleston School of Law in 2014. While in law school, she served on the Editorial Board of the Federal Courts Law Review and earned the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in Insurance Law. Stephanie enjoys spending her spare time traveling, cooking, and with her dogs at Station 21 on Sullivan's Island.
