WIOMSA is registered in Zanzibar, Tanzania and South Africa. While our role has evolved over time, our focus on working with members and partners to promote interdisciplinary marine and coastal science remains steadfast... WIOMSA works with members, various partners and Governments with a view towards sustaining the use and conservation of marine resources across 10 countries of the Western Indian Ocean... WIOMSA has been implementing various programmes since its creation in 1993. Our programmes aim to address global goals and targets with a particular emphasis on the intersection of SDG 14 and SDG 1, as well as the Global Biodiversity Framework.
