Alex Biega

Alex joined Wincove in 2022 as Principal. His responsibilities include originating new investment opportunities, investor relations, and general business development. Prior to joining Wincove, Alex enjoyed a 12-year professional hockey career. During this time, Alex served as a Player Representative with the NHL Players Association. Alex graduated from Harvard University, where he was Captain of the hockey team, and earned an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and four children.

Brendan Dawson

Job Titles:

Brendan is an Associate at Wincove. Prior to joining Wincove in 2022, he worked as an associate consultant at Investor Group Services. Brendan graduated from Middlebury College, where he was a Captain of the Men's ice hockey team.

Daniel Farrell - VP

Job Titles:

  • Vice President
Dan joined Wincove as an Analyst in 2019 and was promoted to Associate in 2021. Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts (2018) in Economics and Accounting from Assumption College, where he was a member of the Men's lacrosse team.

John Lenahan

Job Titles:

John has 20 years of experience investing in and building middle-market companies, including several operating roles within portfolio companies. Prior to co-founding Wincove, John was a Vice President at Hampshire Equity Partners, which he joined in 2003. At Hampshire, John was responsible for evaluating and executing potential investments, and managing portfolio company investments. He began his career in the investment banking division of Rothschild Inc. John is currently a Director of Adaptec, Fortbrand, Integrated Warehouse Solutions, Rhino Tool House, and US Bid and was previously a Director of Comstar Technologies, GI Plastek and Connect-Air International. John graduated from Georgetown University and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children. He serves on the NYC Advisory Board of Back on My Feet, a charity that addresses homelessness through running.

Louis Smith

Having interned at WPH during the Summer of 2020, Louis rejoined the team in 2021. He earned a BA in Economics with a Minor is Spanish from the University of Virginia.

Michael McGovern

Michael has been investing in, and working with management teams to grow, small- and medium- sized businesses for over 25 years. Prior to forming Wincove, Michael was a Partner at Hampshire Equity Partners, a NY-based private equity firm with approximately $1 billion of capital under management, where he sourced, led and successfully exited many middle market investments. Michael began his career in the investment banking group of Alex Brown. He is currently a Director of Adaptec, Integrated Warehouse Solutions, Rhino Tool House, Centerline Communications, Purgo, Pump One, Tower North, and Globalization Partners. Michael previously served as a Director of Comstar Technologies, HHA eXchange, GI Plastek, Connect-Air International, ROM Corp., Impact Products, Vornado Air, Altair Global Relocation, SAFE Boats International, Transcare Corporation, and Connector Service Corp., among others. Michael received a B.S., summa cum laude, from Boston College. He and his family (wife and four children) live in the Boston area, where he is active in several non-profit and community-related activities.

Nathan McGill - VP

Nathan joined Wincove as a Vice President in 2021. Previously, Nathan spent ten years at Stonehenge Partners where he was responsible for evaluating, structuring, and executing investments in middle market companies across a number of industries. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance (2009) from Miami University.

Sally Edelblute - CFO

Sally Edelblute joined Wincove as Chief Financial Officer in 2020. Prior to joining Wincove, Sally spent seven years as the Director of Tax at Alcion Ventures, L.P., where she handled tax compliance, structuring and planning for the firm's funds. Sally began her career and spent several years at Deloitte and KPMG, where she focused on tax compliance and tax consulting for a number of large and mid-sized private equity funds and REITs. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and she is a licensed CPA in the state of Massachusetts.

Sean Bielat

Sean is an Executive Partner at WPH. He previously led the carve-out of Endeavor Robotics, a defense technology company, from iRobot, and its subsequent sale to FLIR Systems. He is a former Marine officer, McKinsey consultant, and U.S. Congressional candidate. Sean graduated from Georgetown University and earned an MBA from the Wharton school and an additional graduate degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. He currently works within the WPH portfolio as Executive Chairman of both Rhino Tool House and US Bid, and serves on the board of Adaptec Solutions, as well as on various other WPH initiatives. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and four children.

Sean Keenan

Sean joined Wincove in 2022 as Accounting Manager after previously working for RSM as an auditor within the financial services group for five years. Sean is a licensed CPA in the state of MA, and graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, MA magna cum laude in 2017 with a B.S. in Accounting. Sean currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Young Professionals Committee of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.

Thomas joined Wincove as an Associate in 2023. Previously, he worked as an Associate Consultant at Chartis, in the Private Equity Advisory Group. Thomas graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts (2020) in neuroscience and was a member of the men's squash team.
