2019 / DEEP SPACE - 3 Competitions this year! First (haha ‘first'), attending the FIT District El Paso Event (that's a mouthful)- we ranked 19th out of 27 teams, joining 8th Alliance and making it to the quarterfinals. During this event, we earned the Gracious Professionalism Award. Moving on, having a complete turnaround at the FIT District Amarillo Event, Zia ranked 3rd out of 30 teams! Leading 2nd Alliance, we had made it to quarterfinals. This Event earned us the Industrial Design Award and let us proceed to the FIT District Championship! Traveling to Austin, TX- The Championship resulted with the ranking of 59th out of 64 teams... Zia Robotics (#6974) is a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Community team based in central New Mexico. Formed in late 2017, the team is made up of members from several FTC teams from Socorro, Albuquerque, and the East Mountain area.
