We are an active club with members of wide ranging ability, age and experience who enjoy mountaineering pursuits. The trip report pages on our website illustrate some of the activities undertaken by the club... York Mountaineering Club is a mixed-membership group spanning an age range from eighteen to a point where we daren't ask any more... Trips are advertised on the website although many minor trips are organised by individual members in the pub or via the club WhatsApp group. This may be a day out rock climbing in the Peak District or Yorkshire, or hill walking in the Lakes or Dales. We make regular trips to Scotland, the Lake District and Wales for walking and climbing.
