OMEGA DOT - Key Persons
Dr Xu is a full time senior lecturer at the department of Engineering at Brunel University. He is a tribologist and has extensive knowledge of Engineering Materials including experiences in forensic studies and failure analysis of engineering products in the oil and gas industry.
He obtained his PhD from the University of Southampton and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Leeds and the University of Cambridge. Dr Xu has published a range technical papers in leading international journals covering Surface Engineering, Tribology, Sensor Technology and Manufacturing Processes. He is multilingual in English, Chinese and Korean.
Guohong is a talented award winning product designer and a qualified CAD practitioner. He has worked on turbomachinery projects including fans, compressors and medical grade air purifiers. In addition to design and deployment of test rigs, he also manages the production of our air foil bearings.
Joji is a first-class undergraduate mechanical engineer from Brunel University on his one year placement with Omega Dot Ltd. He is training to be a professional design engineer using CAD with applications towards automotive engineering. He also supports the production of our air foil bearings including inspection, quality assurance and testing. His area of expertise lies in numerical modelling and simulations including FEA.
Maria is a first-class undergraduate mechanical engineer from Brunel University and works part-time with Omega Dot Ltd since completing her internship with us. She supports the R&D activities within our company by designing and creating prototype parts, tools and test rigs. Maria also supports our air bearing development program.
