Dr Harold Hillman

Job Titles:

Harold has held senior roles at the US Air Force Academy, Prudential Financial in New York, the Amoco Corporation and Fonterra in Auckland. Now based in Auckland, he is the Managing Director of Sigmoid Curve Consulting Group, which specialises in helping executive teams to lead their organisations through major change. Harold has worked as an adviser and coach to senior business leaders in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and the U.S. and is frequently invited to deliver keynote speeches and presentations on leadership, talent and human capital. His first book, The Impostor Syndrome, was named Whitcoulls Business Book of the Year 2013.

Dr. Heather Melville

Heather's career spans over 40 years across financial, professional & technology services, with a specific focus on international trade, entrepreneurship and corporate banking. Heather is a business thought-leader and an innovator with a notable track record of building high performing diverse teams. Her impressive number of accolades strongly positions her to fully understand the opportunities and challenges that all leaders face . She has featured on the Black Powerlist as one of the UK's most influential black executives as well as an elected member of the Executive Leadership Council. As well as founder of Clarke Smith Advisory, she is also senior advisor to TENEO, Chancellor of the University of York and sits on a number of specialist advisory boards. In 2017 she was awarded an OBE for her services in business and inclusion.

Elspeth Renshaw

Elspeth started her career as a member of the Australian diplomatic service and served as Australian Vice-Consul to the United States, before embarking on a career in financial services. She has spent 20 years in Asia, during which time she helped with the Black Rock acquisition of Barclays Global Investors and served as international HR Director for Citadel Investment Group. As a leadership advisor, executive coach and management consultant, Elspeth supports leaders and organisations through periods of transition and growth. She is particularly impactful on diversity issues. Her clients range from large international banks to start-ups.

Frances Young

Frances graduated from The University of Exeter with First Class Honours in Theatre. From there, she proceeded to study at Quest Professional in London, consolidating critical Business Management skills. Subsequently, she joined The Royal Household as the Programme Coordinator to HRH The Duke of Gloucester. She supported His Royal Highness' extensive public duties and helped coordinate notable events including the Coronation and various State Visits. Having discovered a talent for managing competing priorities and wanting to branch into the corporate world, Frances joined Pelham Street in early 2024. Frances is the Executive Assistant to the CEO

Iain Plunkett

In his 30-year career, Iain has gained extensive experience as a business transformation, technology & operational leader in the financial services industry. He has held CxO level roles at Santander, TP ICAP, Aberdeen Asset Management, Barclays and UBS, and served on the Executive Board of Microsoft Services. As Chief Operating & Transformation Officer, he led the successful restructuring of Santander UK. Iain now combines non-executive directorships with his work as a leadership advisor. With his deep technical background and warm, engaging style, he has a proven track record of developing high-performing leaders and organisations and supporting boards in the delivery of complex transformation journeys.

James Clinch

James began his career as a British Army Officer, gaining invaluable hands-on leadership experience. He later moved into the global insurance industry, working as a management consultant and in business development for the Willis Group, with a secondment with McKinsey & Co., and then as a partner in a Family Office and director of various Fund Management and Private Equity businesses, overseeing their growth strategies. Having seen the transformative power of coaching, James founded Pelham Street in 2012. He now advises and coaches senior leaders and their teams, using his challenging and engaging style to provide a sounding board. His primary focus is on developing individual and collective performance. James is the CEO of Pelham Street.

James Spearpoint

James is one of the most experienced occupational psychologists and leadership assessment specialists in his field. He is an affiliate member of the British Psychological Society, due to his expertise in applying psychology to business. He honed his leadership assessment and consulting capabilities at Russell Reynolds Associates in London, and before that, as a consultant with a boutique search firm. James now advises individuals and teams on matters including succession, selection, development and organisational design. He has consulted across a multitude of sectors including the Civil Service, the British Army and some of the largest financial, consumer, technology and industrial firms.

Joanna Mollo

Joanna was a television news reporter and presenter at ITN in London and CNBC Europe/ America in the Middle East. Now as a highly experienced leadership communication coach and media trainer, she draws on her considerable commercial and journalistic experience to improve the way leaders express themselves, especially when under pressure. Joanna's passion is helping leaders and their teams to become powerful and engaging communicators. She is an advocate of authentic communication in both written and verbal formats and works with people across a variety of sectors globally to improve their message content and delivery, increasing their influence and impact.

Jonathan Zenios

Jonathan's career in finance spans 30 years. After qualifying as a chartered accountant, he moved into investment banking in London and New York ultimately running a £1BN+ global structuring business. He left to launch his own fund management business which was sold in 2016, coincidentally the same year in which the fintech business he chaired from its first institutional capital raise was acquired by ICAP. In September 2020 Jonathan was appointed chair of the largest Jewish communal charity in Europe. Jonathan has been a fervent advocate of coaching since hiring a coach himself after becoming Managing Director at Barclays Capital in 2001. He works primarily with business owners and senior executives focussing on better decision-making, strategic problem-solving and developing organisational intelligence. Jonathan is a member of the Pelham Street Advisory Board.

Molly Watson

Molly is a first-rate writer and message developer, who spent a decade in newspaper reporting and opinion journalism. She is a trained opinion-researcher and former director of the London office of Crosby|Textor, a global political and corporate strategic consultancy. For 15 years, she has worked as a communications consultant and coach, valued for the quality of her insights and the candour of her advice. She brings clarity and authenticity to speeches, investor presentations and organisational narratives, working with senior leaders and teams in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology, aerospace and finance as they navigate periods of change, crisis and opportunity.

Mostyn Wilson

Mostyn has over 20 years of client-facing experience at KPMG, where he was a client-facing partner providing complex services to global financial services groups. He was also on the executive leadership team for a large division of the firm and led a sustainable doubling of the business over four years. He coached and mentored over 250 people and worked with over 100 senior executives. Mostyn is an expert in the fields of leadership and peak performance. He uses his knowledge and experience of these areas to create paradigm shifts for those he works with, enabling them to achieve even greater success.

Peter Collins

Peter's career has involved working as an adviser and speechwriter for two Australian government ministers and a stint at McKinsey and Co., where he was a consultant in their organisational development practice for five years. In 2004, he established his own coaching and advisory business. As a coach and thinking partner, Peter specialises in issues of cultural transformation, ethics and leadership development for organisations and senior leaders. In addition to his coaching work and various directorships, he is studying for a DPhil (doctorate) in leadership and ethics at the University of Oxford, where he regularly lectures.

Richard Benson-Armer

Richard spent 22 years at McKinsey & Company where as a senior partner he supported leading businesses around the world. Prior to that, he held leadership roles as Chief Strategy Officer at The Thomson Corporation and South African Breweries. He has also supported founders and management teams at rapidly scaling start-ups through his role as a Partner and now Senior Adviser at Activant Capital, a US-based growth equity fund with $2B AUM. Richard actively supports senior leaders and management teams to drive growth and realize their full potential. He believes that the greatest personal development often comes at key career transition points and works with executives to onboard successfully into new companies, take on the challenge of new roles, or unlock the potential of new teams.

Rob McDavitt

Before joining Pelham Street, Rob spent 14 years at Apple. In that time, he was a Senior Faculty member for Apple University; Head of Talent, launching Apple's Global Talent Development strategy, designed to promote inclusion and diversity; and Head of HR for Global Sales, working alongside Tim Cook. Prior to that, he was Vice President of HR for Expedia Europe. Rob is passionate about leadership. Having led global teams and travelled to over 60 countries, as a coach he is well placed to advise senior leaders across different industry sectors globally to optimise their performance.

Rupert Jones

Rupert draws on over 30-years' military experience leading and empowering diverse teams, large and small, in the most complex and uncertain international environments. In the UK, he has held senior executive appointments within Defence, played a leading role in the Government's Defence Reform Review, served as the Army's de facto Chief Operating Officer and on its Executive Board as Director of Communications.

Ruth Pendlebury

Ruth graduated from The University of Manchester having studied Modern History and Politics. After a year spent travelling Australia and New Zealand she worked in a variety of financial services roles. Here she developed her process and financial management skills. Ruth joined Pelham Street in 2022, she combines her keen attention to detail with strong analytical skills and CRM technical knowledge. Ruth is Pelham Street's Operations Manager.

Sally Clark

Sally has over 30 years' experience in financial services, having worked for JP Morgan Chase, RBS and Barclays, where, as Chief Internal Auditor, she managed a large global team and championed diversity and inclusion initiatives. Sally works with leaders at Board and C-suite levels to help them improve their leadership performance and leverage their strengths in challenging environments. She is a non-executive director at BUPA, a senior advisor to Regtech firm, ACIN, a fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and on the board of Citigroup Global Markets. Sally is a member of the Pelham Street Advisory Board.

Shaun Pendry

Leadership has been at the heart of Shaun's 30-year career, which began as a British Army Officer. After spending 17 years in a variety of military leadership roles, he put his experience to use in the commercial world, working first for PwC and then the William J Clinton Leadership Institute, coaching senior global leaders. In 2018, Shaun left the Leadership Institute and continues his coaching journey with Pelham Street. He is used to working in complex and challenging environments which require agility, sensitivity and a sense of purpose and has recently started to use resilience coaching as part of his work.

Tatiana Gupta

Tatiana brings a powerful blend of leadership coaching, assessment and talent advisory to mission-driven leaders who are striving to enhance their performance and impact. She started her career as a search consultant at top international search firms, including Spencer Stuart and Russell Reynolds, where she acquired a coaching mindset as a business adviser to C-Suite and next-gen leaders in the industrial and tech sectors. A citizen of the world, Tatiana was born in France and raised in Taiwan, Belgium and the US. Having led projects across geographies, sectors and functions, she has first-hand experience with the challenges leaders face attracting, developing and retaining talent and building high-performing teams, and she uses these as a coach to help clients achieve their objectives. She is passionate about cultivating her clients' leadership abilities to accomplish their strategic objectives and make a meaningful contribution to the world of tomorrow.

William Stevens-Smith

William graduated from the University of Leeds having studied Philosophy. He subsequently served as an Officer in the British Army, travelling overseas on multiple occasions, assisting with Public Duties and captaining the Regimental Downhill Skiing team. Having gained valuable leadership and management experience, he moved into quality focused operations at Amazon, managing within their largest European site. Having discovered a passion for analytics, and project management, William joined Pelham Street in late 2023. William is Pelham Street's Chief of Staff
