Hand sculpting as well as wheel thrown functional art is the type of pottery we create. We work with several clay bodies, all high-fire stoneware, hence the name 2100degrees. Porcelain and Speckled Buff are two of the clay bodies used in the work above... As manufactured products overwhelm our lives, it's nice to see human imperfections and enjoy the beauty. Our goal is to create functional pieces that can be enjoyed and used everyday. Some of our work is wheel thrown, most is slab rolled hand-built, but each piece is one of a kind... 2100 hundred degrees makes hand crafted functional pottery for every day use. The ceramic bowls, platters and vases are one of a kind hand built stoneware.
