Adam J. Verrett

Dr. Verrett is a San Antonio native and received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio before entering the United States Air Force and completing his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in 2012. Following residency, Dr. Verrett served as the Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he instructed Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residents from 2012-2016. Dr. Verrett is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2015) and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Verrett has presented at multiple local & national venues on topics including maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, dental implants and dentoalveolar surgery. He practices at the Methodist Plaza & Methodist Boerne offices. Outside of the office, Dr. Verrett's interests include fishing, cycling & attending Texas Longhorn football games.

James E. Franco

Dr. Franco's practice is all encompassing and he is well versed in all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery including facial reconstructive surgery, dental implants, oral pathology, TMJ disorders and the surgical management of obstructive sleep apnea. He has authored several publications in the professional literature. He has full admitting and operating privileges at Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in the South Texas Medical Center and Stone Oak Methodist Hospital. Dr. Franco lives in San Antonio with his wife and son where he has been in private practice since 1989.Dr. Franco received his undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1981. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 1985. While at UTHSCSA, he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1989. In 1992, he received his Doctor of Medicine from UTHSCSA. Dr. Franco went on to complete an Anesthesiology Internship in 1993 and, throughout his medical and dental training, he worked in private practice in San Antonio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1992) and a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition to national organizations, he is an active member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

James W. Rominger

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. Rominger went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1986 and his Doctor of Medicine in 1991, both at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). His post-graduate training includes a Fellowship in Anesthesiology at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas in 1987, and a General Surgery Internship at UTHSCSA in 1992. He completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UTHSCSA in 1993. He is a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 1995, and a Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration. In addition to national organizations, he is an active member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has authored and co-authored several clinical publications. Dr. Rominger's practice encompasses all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dental implant surgery, especially full-arch (All-on-4) implant procedures, reconstructive jaw surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, and surgical pathology. He maintains staff privileges in the Methodist Hospital System, including Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in the South Texas Medical Center and The Stone Oak Methodist Hospital. He has been in private practice in San Antonio since 1993. Outside of the office, Dr. Rominger loves the outdoors, exercising, and chasing his eight children and almost 8 grandchildren (so far) with his wife Elva.

Robert P. Johnson

A retired Air Force Colonel, Robert Johnson received his undergraduate degree from Fairmont State College and Potomac State College in 1951 and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry in 1955. From 1955-1956, he completed a rotating internship at Walter Reed Army Hospital. His residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery included the Graduate School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1963 and completed at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center (1963-66). He later became Chairman of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Director of the Residency training program (1976 - 1980). During this time frame, he was also a Consultant to the USAF Surgeon General (1976-80). He retired following a distinguished 25-year military career. Dr. Johnson is a Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1967) and also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition to his national professional organizations, he is a life member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Johnson is a well-known lecturer both locally and nationally. He has authored and co-authored numerous journal publications and text book chapters and is well versed in all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Although his practice includes all oral and maxillofacial surgery including facial reconstruction, a major part of Dr. Johnson's practice stems from his extensive research and pioneer efforts in the evaluation and management of oral pathology. He began his private practice in 1980 in the San Antonio area and has subsequently partnered with other surgeons of like-minded commitment to patient care and safety. In 2012, Dr. Johnson retired from full-time practice but remains our founding partner, mentor and the closest of friend to all of us.

Steven B. Buckley

A graduate of Rice University, Dr. Buckley received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1981. While at UTHSCSA, he went on to complete an Anesthesiology Internship in 1982 and his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1985. Dr. Buckley received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1988. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1990) and a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition to his national professional organizations, he is a member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Buckley has lectured both locally and nationally. He has authored and co-authored several clinical publications and is well versed in all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Buckley's practice encompasses all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dental implants, reconstructive surgery and the surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. He maintains staff privileges at Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital. He has been in private practice since 1988 in the San Antonio area. Dr. Buckley's outside interests include family activities, golf and physical fitness.

Wendell A. Edgin

Dr. Wendell Edgin is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon providing full scope surgical services in San Antonio and Boerne. Dr. Edgin grew up in the Texas Panhandle and received Baccalaureate degrees in Zoology and Microbiology from Texas Tech University. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (1980) before entering the United States Air Force and completing a General Practice Residency at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. He then served as a general dentist for six years before entering residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center which he completed in 1990. Dr. Edgin completed a 21-year military career in 2001 at the rank of Colonel. His military career culminated as the department Chairman and Director of the Graduate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. In addition, he served as the Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to the Surgeon General. His military decorations include the Legion of Merit and the Meritorious Service Medal with one device. Col Edgin feels truly privileged to have been able to serve our country with the men and women of the greatest Air Force the world has ever known! Following his military career, Dr. Edgin taught oral and maxillofacial surgery for 5 years at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. He attained the academic rank of Associate Professor and maintained a faculty practice in full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. He joined Alamo Maxillofacial Surgical Associates in 2006. Dr. Edgin is a Diplomate of The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has written and lectured extensively on a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgery topics nationally and internationally. Dr. Edgin is also a Life Fellow of The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists and served on the Examination Committee for The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for eight years. Dr. Edgin currently serves as the Past President of the San Antonio District Dental Society with almost 1000 members and is an Alternate Delegate for the Texas Dental Association. He is Past President of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Past President of the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Edgin and his wife, Kathy have been married over forty years and have two adult children and four grandchildren. He derives great pleasure and pride from spending time with his family. While away from the office he enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and tinkering in his backyard shop.
