ANNA MIGLIARISI

About Anna: Born in Calabria, Italy, and raised in Toronto, Anna brings years of professional training and expertise to one-on-one mentoring and group classes for both emerging and seasoned actors. She holds a BFA from the University of Windsor's School of Dramatic Art and an MA and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Mentored by some remarkable teachers, including the late Actors' Studio veteran, Janine Manatis, Anna has taught at various post-secondary institutions, and published books and articles along the way. Anna's methodology draws on a range of acting techniques rooted in the foundational principles of Stanislavsky and his adherents and refined into exercises and procedures that are practical, effective, and meaningful. Preparation, audition and presentation techniques, active text analysis, and sensory exploration are fundamental components of her teaching practice.
