BAKER IMPLEMENT COMPANY - Key Persons
Mr. Charles B. Baker, the company's founder, became an International Harvester Dealer in early 1938, at Deering, MO. Baker Implement Company was chartered April 4, 1942, and moved to Kennett, MO. Baker Truck & Implement Company was opened at Arbyrd on Jan. 1, 1948. For the next 40 years, the Kennett and Arbyrd stores provided good customer service and were excellent International Harvester dealers. In 1985, J.I. Case Co. and International Harvester Co. merged and we became Case IH dealers. The merger was very good for the company and our customers. In 1988, we started expanding into other communities in the Bootheel of Missouri and Northeastern Arkansas.
