Brian Robinson

Brian is a graduate of University College Dublin from where he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Legal Studies. Post-graduation, Brian studied further at Trinity College Dublin from where he was awarded a Masters in Law. Brian has a particular interest in Constitutional Law and his studies at Trinity College included Irish and American Constitutional Law under Professor Gerard Hogan, former Judge of the High Court, the Court of Appeal, Advocate General to the European Court of Justice and now Judge of the Supreme Court of Ireland. As part of his Masters, Brian wrote Articles on the Incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights into Irish Law and his Thesis looked at and considered the concept of non-Justiciable issues or Political Questions in Irish Law by way of reference to the Constitutional Separation of Powers. Brian has been with the firm for over 20 years and is presently the Managing Partner. He specialises in Personal Injuries, Medical Negligence, Commercial Disputes, Contractual Disputes and other complex Litigation matters. Brian leads the Litigation Department of Benville Robinson LLP in conjunction with Clare-Ann Temple, appearing in the District Court, the Circuit Court, the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Brian also acts for and advises a number of State clients with regard to regulatory and prosecution related matters. Brian has built up considerable experience and expertise in Planning and Environmental Law and has acted for Wicklow County Council in relation to a number of extremely important planning cases. Brian also acts for private clients regarding planning matters outside the County of Wicklow. Brian obtained a Diploma in Judicial Skills and Decision Making in 2021 and is currently studying for a Diploma in Environmental and Planning Law. Brian is member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and Vice President of the Wicklow Solicitors Association.

Clare-Ann Temple

Clare-Ann graduated with a Bachelor of Law Degree in 2006 and has been with the firm since February 2014, having worked in a busy legal practice prior to that for a number of years. She is a qualified solicitor in Ireland, England, and Wales. Clare-Ann came first in her year in the Law Society for Civil Advocacy, awarded by Judge Peart of the High Court, and enjoys utilising her advocacy skills in contentious matters on a regular basis. Clare-Ann is a Partner in the litigation department. She operates a busy Personal Injuries and Medical Negligence practice and advises clients in respect of sensitive actions arising out of historical/institutional abuse. Clare-Ann has a background in debt recovery and counsels' clients in all debt-related matters including Bankruptcy, Liquidations, Repossessions, Insolvencies, and Restructures. Clare-Ann appears regularly in Courts of all jurisdictions dealing with civil and commercial disputes. Clare-Ann is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and Wicklow Solicitors Bar Association.

Eilish Bradshaw

Eilish qualified as a Solicitor in January 2009. Prior to this Eilish studied in NUI Galway where she attained a first-class honours LLB degree. She then went on to attain a first-class honours Masters of Laws in UCD. Eilish joined our firm in 2011 and is a Partner and Head of the Conveyancing and Probate Department. Eilish acts for an extensive number of commercial and residential clients. Eilish also advises a large State Lending Institution on property security in commercial lending matters and is appointed as a panel solicitor by the Bank. Eilish is member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and Wicklow Solicitors Bar Association.

Orla Gibson

Orla is a Legal Executive who joined Benville Robinson Solicitors in 2001. Prior to that, Orla worked for a large national bank gaining valuable experience in the industry. During her time in the firm, Orla graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Legal Studies. She specialises in licensing matters and residential and commercial conveyancing. Orla is the go-to in the office for re-mortgages and top-ups and utilises her previous experience in banking to provide a client-based approach. In addition, Orla also assists Clare-Ann Temple with District Court prosecutions.
