We are a small startup focused on delivering high performance analytical software applications to the P&C insurance and reinsurance industry... We believe that truly great systems are built "from the inside out" rather than "from the outside in". Building "from the inside out" means starting with the core system architecture and making sure it is well grounded in the domain problem at hand. This is the polar opposite to designing "from the outside in", which can be characterized as starting with a focus on a list of required application features. Building "from the inside out" requires a clear product vision, ideally based on domain expertise combined with a good understanding of available technologies and strong system architecture skills. In the software development world this is known as "domain-driven design".
