FEEDING ILLINOIS

Feeding Illinois is the association of Feeding America food banks that serve Illinois. Together, they provide food and other services to every county in Illinois through a vast network of member agencies and specialized feeding programs. The number of residents who are hungry in Illinois is staggering and saddening - yet solvable. But only together; with collective support across public and private sectors... Feeding Illinois believes all Illinois residents deserve equitable access to nutritious, culturally familiar foods. This includes the belief that foods be locally sourced as much as possible, and most foods can fit into a balanced lifestyle of every resident with their right to choose and have access to nutritious foods that meet the needs of their household. Feeding Illinois acknowledges the central role nutrition education plays in supporting a variety of food preferences across the lifespan.
