Connie Edgar

Connie is really in charge. She is the cornerstone of the practice and the voice so many clients have come to know so and to adore. Her unnaturally bubbly and friendly manner is why so many of our clients feel so safe in her hands. Connie comes from a corporate background having played a strategic role as PA to a senior board of directors at her last employer. Fortunately, they left her (they relocated down south!) otherwise we wouldn't have been given this wonderful gift. Connie is the cornerstone of the practice and the voice so many clients have come to know so and to adore. Her unnaturally bubbly and friendly manner is why so many of our clients feel so safe in her hands.

Dr. Lesley Allport

Dr Lesley Allport has a long career in mediation spanning the last 27 years. Working initially as a family mediator in the 1980's, she has been involved developing new areas of practice, particularly in the context of Special Educational Needs and Disability Conciliation. She mediates conflicts within families, workplace disputes, has experience in community mediation and is trained to mediate in cross border family disputes and parental child abduction cases. Lesley began training mediators 18 years ago. She delivers foundation courses in several contexts as well as training for supervisors, mediators working directly with children and general continuing professional development. She has a keen interest in developing professional standards. She is currently Vice Chair of the College of Mediators and chairs the Professional Standards Committee. She also sits on the editorial board of the new College journal "Mediation: Theory and Practice". Lesley also has an academic interest in mediation. In 2005 she completed a European Masters' Degree in Mediation, as part of which she developed a model of supervision specific to mediation. In 2016 she successfully completed her PhD at the Birmingham Law School where she was examining the comparative growth of mediation, identifying similarities and differences of practice across a number of contexts of mediation delivery. Dr Allport has a career of 27 years. She mediates conflicts within families, workplace disputes and is trained to mediate in cross border family disputes and parental child abduction cases.

Jeremy Howells is founder and head of mediation and conflict resolution at the Family Mediation & Counselling Service. He has over 30 years experience of working with people from all walks of life.

Marianne comes from a mediation administration background spanning a number of years, including extensive work within Coventry & Warwickshire Family Mediation (now closed). She has a natural rapport and empathy towards clients and is able answer any questions you may have about family mediation and its advantages.

Sarah Jones

Sarah is our newest addition to the Team having come from a people focussed background in HR. She has extensive experience of working to reduce conflict and disputes for individuals. Sarah's specialist area is child arrangements and she extensive knowledge in this field.
