Chris Milligan - VP

Chris Milligan received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Milligan is a registered professional engineer in 9 US states and holds a Class III wastewater operator license. Milligan has been CEO of BlueInGreen, a water treatment technology company, for five years; he has fifteen years of professional experience on a wide variety of water related projects, including oxygenation, pH adjustment, oxidation, and odor control solutions.

Dr. Marty Matlock - CEO, President

Dr. Marty Matlock received his Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University, is a registered professional engineer, a Board Certified Environmental Engineer, and a Certified Ecosystem Designer. He is an internationally recognized expert in sustainable systems design and assessment. Matlock leads G17's team of ecologists, engineers, architects, social and political scientists, agricultural scientists, economists, and business strategists to create innovative solutions for humanities most vexing challenges. G17's interdisciplinary work has been recognized by the leading organizations in agriculture, engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, and sustainable design with over 30 national and international awards.

Eric Boles

Eric Boles received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biological Engineering at the University of Arkansas. Boles is the co-founder of Paradigm Sustainability Solutions, which assists organizations with sustainability planning. He leads the G17 sustainability metrics program, where he helps corporations, cities, and organizations measure their impact on social, economic, and environmental parameters of sustainability.

Greg Thoma - VP

Greg Thoma received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a Registered Professional Engineer. Thoma's research focuses on the application of engineering principles to solve complex sustainability challenges including environmental, industrial, and geochemical processes. He serves as lead investigator and as consultant for a number of life cycle initiatives in the food and agriculture sector. He is the scientific lead for the UNFAO Partnership on the Environmental Benchmarking of Livestock Supply Chains technical advisory group for poultry, and currently serves on the steering committee for the Swiss National Science Foundation's Research Program titled "Healthy Nutrition and Sustainable Food Production."

Stephen Luoni

Stephen Luoni received his B.S. in Architecture from Ohio State University and Masters of Architecture from Yale University. Luoni leads the community planning and design team for G17 where he specializes in interdisciplinary public works projects combining landscape, urban, and architectural design across the world.He has served as Director of the University of Arkansas Community Design Center (UACDC), an outreach program of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design for 15 years. Luoni's interdisciplinary approach to community design has garnered more than 100 national and international awards.
