Chris Parker

Chris joined Gentuity in 2023 as the Vice President of Global Market Development, responsible for the worldwide commercialization of Gentuity's product pipeline. He has over 30 years of experience in medical device sales and marketing, with a focus on groundbreaking cardiovascular technologies. Prior to joining Gentuity, Chris was the Marketing Lead at Artio Medical, a pre-commercial start-up developing products for peripheral, neurovascular, and cardiovascular intervention. Chris also served as Director of Marketing at Abbott Vascular, leading a team executing global upstream and downstream marketing activities for Abbott's imaging, physiology, and core coronary product franchises. Chris believes that commercial success comes from having a great team that can find purpose in the company's mission and have fun working together. As a marketer, he believes in the importance of honesty, empathy, and integrity, which guide him to connect authentically with the clinical community. One of the most poignant moments of Chris' career was having the opportunity to meet some of the patients treated by devices he helped bring to market. Seeing the patients living happy, healthy lives was a professional highlight. Chris holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois.

David W. Kolstad - CEO, Founder

David is the founder and CEO of Gentuity. He is a recognized industry leader with over 25 years of global experience creating and building profitable medical device businesses. Prior to founding Gentuity, he was Executive in Residence with RA Capital following his role as General Manager of St. Jude Medical's Imaging business. Before that, David served as Chairman and CEO of LightLab Imaging, and Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Hewlett-Packard's (now Philips) medical imaging business. He is a member of MassMedic's Executive Committee, serving as Immediate Past Chair. David finds his work in medical devices extremely gratifying - working with bright, highly engaged individuals including world-leading clinicians to develop cutting-edge technologies that make a very real difference in the health and lives of people around the world. He builds strong teams achieving great results for patients, clinicians, teammates, and investors. He is proud of the work being done at Gentuity, reshaping vascular diagnostics, accelerating the delivery of improved patient care, and establishing new standards of care worldwide. Priorities for David are maintaining a sharp focus on improving patient care, working with integrity, and treating people with respect. David holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth.

Dr. Desmond Adler

Desmond joined Gentuity in early 2021 as President of Cardiovascular with the personal goal of enabling interventional cardiologists to improve how they care for their patients. Desmond sees the convergence of advanced imaging technology, artificial intelligence, and user-centric design as critical to achieving this goal and sees the Gentuity platform as uniquely positioned to deliver these innovations to the clinic. Desmond has over 20 years of experience in the biomedical optics industry and has contributed to new product launches in cardiology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, and pulmonology. During his time at LightLab Imaging and St. Jude Medical, he led the development of previous generations of intravascular imaging systems. He also led the development and commercialization of drug-device combination therapies for rare ophthalmic diseases as General Manager and VP R&D of Corneal Health for Glaukos Corp. Desmond feels that working in medical technology represents a unique way to contribute to society while also experiencing lifelong learning, enjoying professional growth, and forming personal bonds with exceptional individuals from all over the world. He holds a BSc in electrical engineering from the University of Alberta and a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT.

John Goodnow

John is the Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of R&D, Manufacturing, and Operations at Gentuity. He started at the company as the Senior VP of Product Development in 2015 and was promoted to his current position in 2020. John has held management roles at other medical device companies, including the Hewlett-Packard Ultrasound business unit, LightLab Imaging, and Volcano Corporation. He enjoys the exciting and dynamic medical device industry because it is devoted to helping people live better, healthier lives. In his current role, John is passionate about creating something from nothing and then listening and responding to customer feedback to improve the product. He pays special attention to the small details which can make or break a product in the marketplace and knows that focusing on what's important to the customer will create value. John brings a strong work ethic and high integrity to the office every day. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's in the same from Stanford University.

Renny Clark - CFO

Renny joined Gentuity in 2018 as the Chief Financial Officer. He has over 30 years of experience growing businesses and a proven track record in the financial management of medical technology companies. He excels in helping businesses enter global markets, new business development, and financial planning and analysis. Previously, he was the CFO of CardioFocus, CFO of LightLab Imaging, and VP of Finance at Boston Scientific where he started as the Director of New Business Development. Renny is drawn to the medical industry because it offers the opportunity to leverage his business skills to improve patient care and lower healthcare costs. He takes pride in ensuring the right level of resources are available to the Gentuity team at the right time so they can deliver great products to their customers. Attention to detail while thinking strategically are key to his professional success. Renny holds a BA in Political Science from Pitzer College, an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Sharon Timberlake

Sharon started her position as the Vice President of Clinical, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs at Gentuity in 2020. Prior to joining the team, Sharon worked at Syneron-Candela Medical, T2 Biosystems, Inc., and had her own medical device consultancy. She has a proven track record of success with start-up and small medical device companies where she uses her wealth of knowledge to develop clinical and regulatory strategies to support company growth and bring disruptive technology to the global marketplace. She finds inspiration in helping improve people's lives through breakthrough clinical technology and cultivates a strong team environment by building a roadmap for execution. She was also nominated and elected to the FDA Advisory Panels as an Industry Representative for two different device categories, which was an incredible honor and achievement as it reflects recognition from her peers, industry, and the FDA. Sharon brings a high level of energy and attention to detail to the team, and her most important goal is to maintain the highest quality product to ensure patient safety. She holds many industry certifications as well as a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Fitchburg State University and a Master's in Health Sciences, Clinical Leadership from George Washington University.

Susan Burnley

Susan has worked at Gentuity since 2017 as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. She believes that the key to providing the best product is thinking about things from the user's perspective. Susan has worked extensively in cardiology with leadership positions at St. Jude Medical, Philips Medical Systems, and Hewlett-Packard, as well as in strategy at Bain and Company, Case Strategy, and DigitalGlobe. She was involved in bringing one of the earliest IVUS systems as well as the first coronary OCT imaging system to market. Susan is passionate about product development and learning from physicians about their medical practice and how Gentuity can make it easier for them to provide the best possible patient care. She has a wealth of professional experience in the medical device field and finds the intersection of engineering and medical practice fascinating.
