Cory Thomas-Fisk

Following in the footsteps of her dad, Cory Fisk was first introduced to construction, running ginnies in the summer to put herself through college. A graduate of Texas A & M University with a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction, Cory is the Department Head Professor of Construction Management Technology at a local Community College and has been a leader in Construction Management Education for the past 18 years. For the past 25 years, Cory has been a Project & Construction Manager for companies like Heery International, Fluor Daniel, & Kitchell CEM and used this experience and her Class A Civil Engineering Contractor License to start her own company. Cory's experience has proven to be a great background for training the industry's Construction Managers and developing the course curriculum for the Construction Industry. Cory's unique, innovative problem-solving skills along with her team approach & skill-building awareness philosophy improved many Leadership Training Programs and now GLA's Facilitation Team. As a respected workforce expert, Cory leans on lessons learned through her diverse work experience in Land Development, Road Construction, Correctional Facilities, College/High School & Middle School Educational Facilities, Tribal Agency Facility Management & New Construction, & private consultation for custom home design. A driven executive leader with a focus on Team Development, Cory currently serves on both Finance & Land Management Boards, Chairman of the Parks & Recreation Commission, and a Board Member of a Tri-County Workforce Board. Ehab Hasan

Ehab is a highly regarded engineer with bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer and a minor in Engineering Management. He started his career as a site and office engineer on two unique heavy infrastructure projects: The Dubai Tram Project and The Dubai Canal Project. Working on these two major and sensitive projects resulted in a well-rounded experience in project processes and relationships. This motivated him to pursue and obtain a law Master of Dispute Resolution. From this, he acquired a multidisciplinary knowledge experience and skillset as a facilitator and dispute resolution provider.

Liz Romo

As the Strategic Communication Manager for GLA, Liz specializes in the business development of the Northern California region, and uses her understanding of the trends and changes within the construction industry to continuously shape strategies. Liz Romo is the Strategic Communications Manager for GLA, with responsibility for leading the company's integrated communication and business development strategies. Her responsibilities include researching prospective accounts, pursuing leads, and moving them through the sales pipeline.

Sam Hassoun - CEO, Founder, President

Sam Hassoun is the founder and president of Global Leadership Alliance, Inc. (GLA). He is a registered Civil Engineer in the state of California with over thirty five years of professional engineering experience in design, construction, maintenance, and management of a wide range of projects. He started his engineering career with the Bechtel Corporation where he worked on several nuclear power plants as well as space and defense projects in Michigan, Texas and California. Sam Hassoun is the Founder and President of Global Leadership Alliance. He started his engineering career with the Bechtel Corporation, where he worked on several nuclear power plants as well as space and defense projects in Michigan, Texas, and California. After joining Caltrans in 1988, Sam spent several years in design, construction, and maintenance of numerous transportation projects. He was appointed to the Director's Office as the Quality Program Manager for Caltrans, and subsequently served as the Office Chief of Partnering where he was responsible for developing and incorporating Partnering principles and specifications into Caltrans construction projects as a way of doing business. Sam pioneered Caltrans to be the first public agency to have on-line performance measures for Partnering. Under Hassoun's leadership, GLA has partnered and been involved with hundreds of infrastructure projects around the world totaling over $50 Billion. Sam Hassoun is a recipient of many national and international awards and has been featured numerous times in many technical and industry publications. He was named by ENR as one of the top 25 National Newsmakers in the construction industry. Sam is a Senior Fellow at the American Leadership Forum and holds a certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from UC Berkeley. He is an international trainer, a keynote speaker and presenter on Partnering and Leadership, and a consultant to numerous organizations and companies on Collaborative Dispute Prevention Systems.

Vicki Martin

Vicki Martin joined GLA in 2019 to focus on our Partnering relationships in Southern California. As a resident of San Diego, she is well positioned to serve our customers and agencies in the markets of San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles and Kern Counties. Since 2001, Vicki has been working with businesses and teams in the commercial construction industry. Her roles in sales and leadership skills training give Vicki a unique perspective and effectiveness. She brings effective communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills that bring teams together, making her an excellent Partnering Facilitator. Vicki specializes in Construction Partnering and Facilitated Dispute Resolution (FDR). She has earned certificates in Dispute Resolution from Cornell University in 2020 and Facilitation Skills from ATD in 2021. Throughout her career, Vicki has been recognized as a change agent and role model garnering numerous awards. She has worked tirelessly for many years on committees and boards developing high performing teams in local chapters of the BIA, CMAA, ASPE, NAWIC and currently the AGCSD. Vicki continues to serve the construction industry as a board member of the AGCSD/General Engineering Scholarship Foundation, facilitating scholarships with SDSU and advancement opportunities for young adults looking to enter the construction workforce. She also serves on the AGC San Diego Workforce Development Committee and Engineering General Contractors Committee. Vicki participates on the liaison committees with the AGC and the local agencies: Caltrans District 11, Port Authority, Airport Authority, SD County Water Authority and NAVFAC. Vicki graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychology and a Business emphasis. She is also the first woman to receive a college letter in a men's sport as a Coxswain on the PAC 10 Collegiate Rowing Team. She resides in San Diego with her husband, yacht broker Kenyon Martin. They enjoy time on the water and attending his sailing races.
