Alexander Graf

Job Titles:

Alexander Graf, BSc, supports the Green Energy Lab as Junior Project Assistant. Previously, he graduated a bachelor's degree in Environmental and Bioresource Management at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna. In addition to his work for the Green Energy Lab, he is completing a master's degree in regenerative energy systems and technical energy management at the FH Wiener Neustadt.

Daniela Kain

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
Daniela Kain, IPM, is Project Manager and responsible for portfolio agendas in the Green Energy Lab. Previously, Daniela Kain worked as a program manager in research funding (Smart Cities, Energy Transition, Co-Creation-Spaces) at one of the largest Austrian funding agencies in the climate and energy sector. She studied Communication Science and Theory of Science in Vienna and International Project Management in Graz.

DI Mathias Schaffer

DI Mathias Schaffer is chairman and spokesman of the Executive Board. The graduate electrical engineer is a specialist for energy research and innovation management at Energie Steiermark AG with a focus on innovation strategy, startup cooperation and the development of the Next-Incubator - the innovation hub for sustainability.

DI Susanne Supper

Graduate engineer Susanne Supper is the Managing Director of Green Energy Lab, heads the innovation lab and is responsible as Cluster Manager for the overall coordination of the project network for the Flagship Region Energy. Before Green Energy Lab was founded and launched in September 2018, she worked for several years as a senior project manager and head of an energy research department. Susanne Supper studied Civil Engineering and Water Management at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna.

Dr. Andrea Edelmann

DI Dr. Andrea Edelmann is the deputy chairwoman of the Executive Board. She heads the Innovation, Sustainability and Environmental Protection department at EVN Group. The graduate technical chemist is a graduate of the Stanford LEAD program in Corporate Innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she also works as an ambassador. As a certified Design Thinking Coach, the involvement of customers is particularly important to her.

Dr. Christian Kurz

  • Graduate Engineer
Graduate engineer Dr. Christian Kurz, PhD, is the R&D Manager of Green Energy Lab. The nuclear physicist holds a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and works as an innovation manager in Energie Burgenland AG. Prior to that, Christian Kurz was managing director of various subsidiaries.

Dr. Fabian Kesicki

  • Member of the Board
DI Dr. Fabian Kesicki is deputy chairman on the board of the association. He is in charge of corporate development at Wien Energie and responsible for developing corporate strategy and managing innovation activities. Prior to that, he headed the market and competitor analysis in E.ON's corporate strategy and was one of the authors of the World Energy Outlook at the International Energy Agency in Paris as an energy analyst. Fabian Kesicki holds a PhD in energy economics from University College London.

François Laurent

François Laurent, MSc, is Project Manager and a driving force behind Green Energy Labs national and international network. He works towards enabling a thriving innovation ecosystem with a focus on scientific communication. Prior to joining the Green Energy Lab, he worked in international research projects on sustainable development and renewable energy in the Netherlands, Spain and Israel as well as the energy partnership of the GIZ in Tunisia.

Karin Dögl

  • Innovation Manager & Deputy Cluster Manager
Mag.a Karin Dögl is Innovation Manager & Deputy Cluster Manager at the Green Energy Lab with a focus on the exploitation of innovative solutions from research, development and innovation. As a funding consultant with many years of experience at regional and national funding agencies and R&D&I program management as well as in technology transfer at an Austrian university, the Japanology graduate brings with her the tools for translating science into business.

Kathrin Figerl

Job Titles:

Kathrin Figerl, BSc, is Project Manager, supervises the Green Energy Lab Community Management and accompanies projects mainly through Open Innovation activities. Previously, she worked in marketing for a Viennese e-car sharing start-up for several years. There, she focused heavily on the sustainable mobility transition and the sharing economy. She completed her bachelor's degree in media technology at the University of Applied Sciences in St. Pölten.

Mag. Ludwig Fliesser

Mag. Ludwig Fliesser is Communications Manager at the Green Energy Lab. He previously worked for many years as a journalist for various trade media and as managing director of a multimedia agency. He completed his studies in cultural and social anthropology at the University of Vienna.

Melahat Coskun-Esen

Job Titles:
  • Junior Project Assistant
Melahat Coskun-Esen works as a Junior Project Assistant in the Green Energy Lab and in this role supports the monitoring and impact assessment of the sample solutions of the Green Energy Lab projects. In addition to her support at the Green Energy Lab, she is studying environmental engineering at the Vienna University of Technology.

Rafaela Richter

Job Titles:
  • Administrative Assistant
Rafaela Richter supports the team in the assistance with administrative activities and accounting. After graduating from high school, she completed the voluntary environmental year. In addition to her commitment to our team, she has been studying part-time business management at IMC FH Krems since fall 2021.

Thiemo Püttmann

Job Titles:

Thiemo Püttmann, MSc, is the newest member and treasurer of the association's board. He heads the Corporate Strategy department at Burgenland Energie and was previously a strategic consultant and Head Of Strategy And Organizational Development, B2B Energy Efficiency at E.ON. Thiemo Püttmann studied Business Administration and Engineering at RWTH Aachen University.
