Cainan received his degree in Forest Management Technology from Montgomery Community College in May of 2022. During his studies there, he served as president of the MCC Forestry Club and interned with the North Carolina Forest Service during the summer of 2021. Upon graduating with a 4.0 GPA, Cainan was awarded the Excellence in Forestry Award along with a North American Forest Technician Honorary for Superior Academic Achievement and remained on the Montgomery Community College Dean's List from 2020-2022.
Cainan began working part-time at Henderson Forestry Consultants in January of 2022 and joined as a full-time forestry technician in December of the same year. Cainan's daily responsibilities include GIS mapping, composing Forest Management Plans, and assisting in field-work projects.

David is the Founder of Henderson Forestry Consultants. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from North Carolina State University in 1979. Upon graduation, David worked in timber procurement through 1984 with Troy Lumber Company in Troy, NC. During this time, he gained a large amount of knowledge and experience concerning sawmill timber procurement techniques, logger management, timber cruising, and mill wood-flow. In 1984, David started Henderson Forestry Consultants, Co. in Troy, NC.
In 2017, Justin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from North Carolina State University. Continuing his academic endeavors, he is currently pursuing a GIS Graduate Certificate at NC State University. In January of 2022, Justin joined Henderson Forestry Consultants as a Staff Forester, bringing six years of experience in the profession of forestry. Justin brings expertise in wildlife management, timber cruising, contractor supervision, boundary locations, forest stand reconnaissance, GIS/GPS mapping, and drone piloting.
Larry graduated from North Carolina State University in 1968. He then served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army from 1968-1971. After his military service, he spent five years working for Ward Lumber Company in Elizabethtown, NC. Larry began working for Jordan Lumber Company in 1976 where he remained employed until 2014.

In 2009, Phil graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from North Carolina State University. From 2009 to 2012, Phil worked as the Logistics Forester for Pacolet Milliken Enterprises, Inc. based out of Spartanburg, S.C. His primarily responsibilities included the planning and execution of all forestry-related field operations for over 27,000 acres of company-owned timberland in South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. He gained extensive knowledge and experience in GPS/GIS/mapping, database/information management, prescribed burning, timber cruising, timber sale preparation and administration, tree planting, and all other aspects of operational forestry.
In October of 2012, Phil joined Henderson Forestry Consultants as a Staff Forester. He is now the business' owner and lead Consulting Forester. Phil's daily responsibilities cover all aspects of the business. A large amount of his time is devoted to completion of field projects, mapping, timber sale administration, contractor supervision, and client communication.
