JUDY'S SEWING ROOM

Judy started her business, Judy's Sewing Room, in 1991. She attended The College of the North Atlantic (old fisheries college), and took courses in dressmaking, design and pattern alterations. She started doing bridal gowns, bridesmaid and grad dresses for the first 3 years. Judy then started private classes learning all aspects of construction and altering drapery patterns. In 2001 she took an Interior Decorating course and in 2004 she won business of the year for the best custom drapery on the Avalon. Judy found that her true passion was in custom drapery and décor and she enjoys seeing her customers pleased with the final product.
