Alex Kinlaw III

Alex Kinlaw III was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. As a second generation lawyer in his family, Attorney Kinlaw knew from a young age that he had a serious passion for the legal profession. After graduating from Mauldin High School in 2005, he attended the University of South Carolina, where he majored in Philosophy, and minored in Political Science. After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended law school at the University of South Carolina. After graduating from law school, he returned to Greenville, South Carolina, and with his classmate, Cedric Cunningham, started the law firm of Kinlaw and Cunningham in Greenville South Carolina, in May of 2013. Outside of protecting his client's rights in his private practice, Attorney Kinlaw has served as a mentor in the South Carolina Bar Lawyer Mentoring Program. Attorney Kinlaw is also a 2018 Graduate of the South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy, and has served as a Pro Bono Attorney for Indigent Defendants in the City of Fountain Inn, South Carolina. He is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. In his spare time, Attorney Kinlaw enjoys cooking, working out, and watching movies with his family. Experience During his time with Kinlaw and Cunningham, LLC, Attorney Kinlaw's main practice areas have been Family Law, Personal Injury, Probate, and Criminal Law. Attorney Kinlaw has handled a wide variety of Family Court matters, including, but not limited to, divorces, contested custody cases, adoptions, and contested matters against the South Carolina Department of Social Services. Attorney Kinlaw has also handled a number of criminal matters such as DUI's, Assault and Battery, Criminal Domestic Violence, and even Armed Robbery. Attorney Kinlaw has even done contract work for the state of South Carolina, in which he has Defended parents that have been accused of abusing and neglecting their children, against the South Carolina Department of Social Services.

Cedric A. Cunningham

Cedric A. Cunningham is a native of Greenwood, SC. He attended the University of South Carolina where he majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration. After graduating from college, Cedric returned home to Greenwood to serve as a law clerk for Attorney Randall Williams where he focused on Criminal Law and Personal Injuries. Later that fall, Cedric began his career in Bankruptcy Law while working as an assistant to Attorney J. Carolyn Stringer in Columbia, SC until the fall of 2009 when he started law school. Cedric attended law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law. While there, Cedric was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, the USC School of Law Mock Trial Bar, and the Black Law Students Association. In his spare time, Cedric enjoys traveling with his wife, public speaking, and Collegiate and Professional sports. Education The experiences gained from being a Law Clerk further inspired Cedric to become an attorney. He graduated from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law in 2012. While at the USC School of Law, Cedric was involved with several organizations including, the USC Mock Trial Team, the Black Law Students Organization, the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, and the John Belton O'Neill Chapter of the Inn of Court. Experience Upon graduation from Law School, Cedric along with his classmate, Alex Kinlaw, III, started the law firm of Kinlaw and Cunningham in Greenville, SC in May of 2013. Since starting their practice, Cedric and his partner Alex have helped numerous clients across the state of South Carolina with their legal issues. Cedric has been recognized several times by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in the areas of Family Law and Bankruptcy. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Cedric has been named as the Legal Elite of the Upstate by the Greenville Business Magazine in the area of Bankruptcy Law and he is a graduate of the South Carolina Bar's Leadership Academy.
