L3 Bioinformatics Limited (L3B) was founded in 2014 as a spin-off from the Bioinformatics Algorithm Research Laboratory of the University of Hong Kong (HKU), focusing on advanced technologies to produce better and faster analysis of "big" genomic data and to realize the true value of such data for healthcare. L3B started with five employees and has since grown to sixteen people. Within three years' time, L3B has received about 60 million HKD of investment and project revenue, and has gradually expanded its client base from the genomics industry to the clinical sector. L3B takes pride in collaborating with local pilot users including Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital and Clinical Genetic Service of the Department of Health to make NGS analysis viable in Hong Kong...
