Amanda J. Warner-Unger

Dr. Warner-Unger graduated magna cum laude with honors research distinction from The Ohio State University in Columbus and earned her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, where she graduated valedictorian of her class. She then completed her medical and surgical podiatric residency at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida, serving as chief resident. From preventive care to conservative treatments and major reconstructive surgeries, Dr. Warner-Unger provides comprehensive foot and ankle care, specifically reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. She is a member of the American Association for Women Podiatrists, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Podiatric Medical Association, as well as the Pi Delta Honor Society. Dr. Warner-Unger most recently researched the incidence of neuromas and contributing etiologies under the Western Review Board and participated in the National Institute of Health Research Fellowship Program. She continues to stay up to date with current literature and research and has presented more than 30 continuing medical education lectures at JFK Medical Center.

Douglas J. Cooper

Dr. Cooper graduated with his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and earned his medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. He then completed his residency at Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Tucson. Dr. Cooper is a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sport Medicine, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the National Podiatric Medical Association and is certified in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support. He most recently completed his residency, which included a focus in limb salvage among Native American, rural and veteran populations. In addition to his clinical training, he served as a senior research resident, performing data analysis of trials for treatment of Achilles tendonitis and analyzing clinical effectiveness of treatments for chronic venous ulcerations. Dr. Cooper proudly joins the board-certified physicians and highly skilled staff at Lexington Podiatry. Mark R. Kutyla

Mark R. Kutyla, DPM, an Irmo, South Carolina native, graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio after attending the College of Charleston in South Carolina. He went on to complete primary care and surgical residencies at Marlborough Hospital in Marlborough, Massachusetts and Westview Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He also trained for lower extremity peripheral nerve surgery at Union Memorial Hospital Institute for Peripheral Nerve Surgery in Baltimore, Maryland, and received training in Orthotripsy®/extracorporeal shock wave therapy. From preventive measures to conservative treatments and major reconstructive surgeries, Dr. Kutyla has more than 15 years of experience in managing and treating all types of podiatric issues, including ingrown toenails, heel pain, bunions, foot and ankle injuries, and diabetes-related foot conditions. A fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, he is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the South Carolina Podiatric Medical Association. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatry Surgery. Dr. Kutyla worked in private practice before joining the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care at Lexington Podiatry. Thomas D. Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology and earned his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago. He then completed his medical and surgical podiatric residency at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, where he served as chief resident. From preventive care to conservative treatments and major reconstructive surgeries, Dr. Nguyen provides comprehensive foot and ankle care to patients. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons and most recently completed his podiatric medicine and surgery residency, which included extensive training in forefoot and reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery and additional focus on lower extremity wound care and diabetic limb salvage.
