Andrew Kelso - COO

As Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Kelso provides strategic and operational expertise and leadership for the company's lean transformation, growth initiatives, market trends and business opportunities. He is the company's lead sponsor for key initiatives driving employee retention and engagement. Kelso works closely with METUS' leadership to help drive the company's tremendous growth. With more than 25 years of finance experience, he joined METUS in May 2018 as chief financial officer. During this time, he immersed himself in all financial aspects of the company and was a critical leader as METUS adopted new methods of strategy deployment, lean methodology, risk management and compliance. Kelso was previously vice president of Finance at Ingersoll Rand and held financial leadership roles at Trane. His experience made him a natural fit for the METUS CFO position when Mitsubishi Electric and Ingersoll Rand entered into a joint venture in 2018. Kelso earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Penn State University, State College, Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in business administration from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind.

Atsuhiko Ishii

Atsuhiko Ishii is the Senior Director of Finance, responsible for accounting and finance operations, business-profitability monitoring, cash-flow forecasting, financial reporting and tax procedures for METUS. Ishii formulates the company's budget plan and medium- to long-term business strategy for expansion. He also leads the implementation of business plans and develops various reports to aid in analysis and decision making. Ishii joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in 2000 and has held various positions in the company's Japan and Europe divisions. Before joining METUS in May 2021, Ishii held a managerial role within the accounting department at the Factory Automation Systems Group in Tokyo. Ishii received a bachelor's degree in economics from Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan.

Before joining METUS, Archer was vice president of sales at Charlotte-based GPS Air, where he led regional and international sales and oversaw a team that managed 50 manufacturers' representatives in the Americas. Prior to his time with GPS Air, he was a managing application consultant for Mingledorff's Inc. for more than 15 years. Archer is a former Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA area sales and regional sales manager. Archer earned a bachelor's degree in business administration - finance, from the College of Charleston, Charleston, S.C. He is a professional engineer, licensed in the state of Georgia, and a LEED® Accredited Professional.

Jason Rosenthal - CMO

Jason Rosenthal, Vice President of Marketing, leads the marketing and controls product management teams with a focus on developing digital strategies to address the needs of METUS' customers. Rosenthal oversees core marketing functions including digital and product marketing, public relations, advertising and graphic design. He is also responsible for leveraging market research and customer data to expand on the company's residential and commercial offerings. Rosenthal joined METUS in September 2021 and brings over fifteen years of marketing leadership experience in the areas of brand management, go-to-market strategy, channel implementation and global corporate communications. In addition, he has substantial industry experience in the areas of consumer goods, home services, Internet of Things, and SaaS. Prior to joining METUS, Rosenthal served as vice president of marketing at Phyn, a division of Belkin International where his market positioning strategies earned the company numerous awards. While at Phyn, he directed the product launch of numerous connected water monitoring systems and established an online and retail presence at major retailers. As a result, the company was awarded the Top 20 Best New Home Products by This Old House as well as the IoT World Award for Best Consumer IoT Product. Before joining Phyn, Rosenthal led the marketing strategy for Linksys and Belkin's WeMo connected home brand. Rosenthal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University.

Joel Larson

Joel Larson is the Senior Director of Accounting at METUS, managing all financial matters for the company including fiscal planning, accounting and internal controls. He also serves as an advisor to department heads on monetary issues, recommended actions and follow-up steps related to business plans, mid-year reviews, monthly performance reports and other forecasts. In addition, he's responsible for preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial and budgetary reports and communicating variances and actual performance data to the appropriate audiences. Mark Kuntz - CEO

As Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mark Kuntz oversees all METUS business activities to ensure alignment with short- and long-term objectives. He provides strategic and managerial leadership throughout the organization as METUS pursues key performance objectives, including profitability, sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Kuntz joined Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc.'s Cooling & Heating Division in May 2010 and previously held positions in sales, marketing, product development, engineering and administration. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for METUS in August 2018. In his previous role as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Manager, Kuntz was critical in the formation and success of the METUS joint venture. He was responsible for overseeing the following key departments within the division: Development, Residential Sales, Commercial Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance and Administration. Kuntz has more than 30 years of experience in the utility and HVAC industries, having served as Vice President and General Manager of Exelon (Unicom) Distributed Energy, Chicago, and Director of National Accounts for Lennox Industries, Dallas, prior to joining Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc.'s Cooling & Heating Division. Kuntz is a professional engineer licensed by the state of California and a LEED® Accredited Professional. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California and a master's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University, Dallas.

Matt Smithson

Matt Smithson is Vice President of Engineering at the Heating and Air Conditioning Division of Mitsubishi Electric US Inc. (MEUS). Originally a founding member of the division's Controls Engineering department, he now leads the Solutions Development Center, including product development, testing, compliance, and quality assurance initiatives. Smithson's primary responsibilities include the creation, advancement and execution of the organization's product development strategy as well as long-term strategic capital and human resource planning. His key contributions include early recognition and mitigation of product development risks and ensuring that development activities are aligned with manufacturing, sales, applications, and service departments. Smithson joined Mitsubishi Electric's Cooling & Heating Division in September 2012. Prior to that, he designed embedded systems for the National Security Agency and supported the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he assisted computer intrusion investigations through malware reverse-engineering and network intrusion analysis. Smithson earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a master's degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in business administration from Auburn University. He pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, where his research on binary rewriting was awarded the Jeremy Lin Award for Innovation. To date, he has eleven peer-reviewed publications and holds five patents.

Robert D. Smith, Vice President of Supply Chain, is responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies that ensure cost efficiencies and fulfill customer expectations. He leads the end-to-end supply chain process while collaborating with distributors, residential and commercial business units, factories and vendors to maintain proper inventory levels and drive the highest levels of reliability in customer order fulfillment. Smith joined METUS in February 2021 with over 27 years of experience at Ingersoll Rand and Trane Technologies. His areas of expertise include product engineering, plant management, distribution, logistics and supply chain. During his career, he held multiple positions of increasing responsibility, ranging from engineering roles to Global Director of Logistics and Distribution. Prior to joining the company, he served as Global Director of Procurement at Trane Technologies where he used his skills to drive supply chain efficiencies. Under his leadership, his teams won prestigious achievement awards. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee. He also received a Master of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.

Sabrina McCorvey

Sabrina McCorvey is the Senior Director of Continuous Improvement at METUS. McCorvey is responsible for development and implementation of lean practices and principles for the company and drives lean transformation and sustainment through cultural change of company leaders and teammates. She also oversees and manages the company's continuous improvement deployment, strategy deployment process, and lean business operating system. Before joining METUS, McCorvey was a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt at International Paper in Atlanta, Georgia where she was a mentor, coach, and trainer for Mills' Manufacturing Excellence Managers and their continuous improvement staff. She was also a principal consultant at McCorvey and Associates, LLC in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where she used continuous improvement to help her clients achieve their business goals. McCorvey received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA as well as a master's degree in business administration from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.

Shane Lawrence - CFO

Among his other duties, he is secretary of the company's board of directors, leads the evaluation of short- and long-term planning and strategic goal-setting, and is responsible for establishing clear governance for financial reporting and auditing. Before joining METUS, Lawrence spent 20-plus years in global leadership positions for Trane Technologies, most recently as director of investor relations. He held several other roles, moving up through Trane, including director of Financial Planning and Analysis and director of Financial Reporting. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting, a minor in Spanish, and a master's degree in accountancy, all from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. Lawrence is also an Eagle Scout.

Takeshi Ishibashi - Chief Strategy Officer

As Chief Strategy Officer and Board Member at METUS, Takeshi Ishibashi is the liaison between METUS and overseas HVAC operations, including all factories. He leads the annual, mid- and long-term business planning, production and factory pricing strategies. Ishibashi joined Mitsubishi Electric in 1993, and has 26 years of HVAC business experience having worked in Shizuoka Works and Wakayama Works factories and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELCO) headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. He also served 10 years in various managerial positions within MELCO's HVAC business including six years in China and four years in Europe. Ishibashi earned a Bachelor of Economics degree from Musashi University, Tokyo, Japan.
