Alex Brown

Alex Brown grew up in the Madison metro area and has lived here for almost his entire life. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 2012, and graduated from UW-Madison with a B.S in Biology and certificates in Entrepreneurship and Public Health in 2016. He's currently a manager at Brown & Beam in Middleton, a local furniture and interior design company. Prior to Brown & Beam, Alex worked for 2 years at Starcom, an advertising agency in Chicago. During that time, he was responsible for running and managing digital advertising campaigns for MARS Wrigley chocolate and ice cream brands, including M&M's, Snickers & Twix. Alex was also a member of a group that won an HX Gold Award, Publicis' (Starcom's holding company) top internal award for innovative work. Alex has been interested in dentistry since high school and is passionate about giving back to help out the community. He's excited to join the board and take on the challenges More Smiles faces.

Amy Ackerman - VP

Amy Ackermann has over 30 years of experience helping individuals and businesses achieve their goals, navigating change to become their best versions possible. Her career in human resources and leadership spans technology, professional services, healthcare, and non-profit sectors. Today, Amy is a partner at Core Endeavors Coaching & Consulting (www.core-endeavors.com) where she coaches women seeking support in moving from what's now to what's next and counsels organizations eager to transform through the lens of the employee experience.

Angela Olson

Chelsey Palmer - COO

Chelsey Palmer works with fulfilling More Smiles Wisconsin's Medicaid billing, supply orders, care coordination, and overall, a little bit of everything. Chelsey arrived at MSW in 2020 when a volunteer dentist connected her with More Smiles. She had worked in dental for five years prior to starting at MSW and had just moved back to the Madison area from Wausau. The volunteer knew her background in dental and Public Health Education so he thought it would be a good fit for her and he was right! She loved it from the start! In her spare time Chelsey enjoys camping, thrifting, crafting, and quilting.

Dr. Fatima Wasti

Dr. Fatima Wasti grew up in Dubai, UAE where she earned her DDS in 2011. She later moved to the United States and made Madison, WI her new home. Dr. Wasti then continued to pursue her passion for Dentistry by graduating from A.T.Still University with a MPH-D in 2018, followed by a DMD from Tufts University in 2020. Dr. Wasti firmly believes in creating a positive and comfortable environment for all her patients. She is committed to providing the highest level of care to help her patients achieve optimal oral health, increase their self-confidence, and therefore improving overall quality of life. Dr. Wasti is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and is dedicated to expanding her knowledge and refining her skills through continuing education courses and advanced training in the latest dental treatments, techniques, and technology. Dr. Wasti is an Invisalign, ALD, and AAFE Certified provider. She also serves as a board member of the Wisconsin Dental Study Club and More Smiles Wisconsin. When out of the office, Dr. Wasti enjoys traveling, reading, and most of all, spending time with her son.

Dr. James Amstadt - President

Dr. James Amstadt is a dentist with forty plus years of experience, having graduated from the University of Minnesota school of dentistry in 1979, and with 2,000 plus hours of additional education. Dr. Amstadt is an expert in the field of dentistry who can help More Smiles Wisconsin continue to grow into the future. Professionally, Dr. Amstadt has been a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Winnebago County Dental society, member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), member of Dane County Dental Forum, founder of the Madison Area Implant Study Club, and many other organizations at all levels of leadership. Dr. Amstadt also provides consulting educational courses across Wisconsin in dentistry and concentrates in implant surgery. Dr. Amstadt has also volunteered his skills and knowledge to Tri-County Dental Clinic - Appleton, served as Dental Clinic Director for Church Health Services in Beaver Dam, WI, was both a board member and participant Donated Dental Services State of Wisconsin, participant in donating services in Give Kids A Smile Program Dane County, WI, and participated in donating dental services through the AACD for Abused Women - Madison, WI. In his spare time Dr. Amstadt is an avid outdoorsman with a love of hunting and fishing. "As board president I have the pleasure of helping guide More Smiles Wisconsin in its mission to serve people needing dental care. There is a huge population of individuals in Dane county in need of emergency dental care who cannot afford it. It breaks my heart to see people in pain and it has been a mission of mine to do what I can. I have heard it said that helping people is the best work of life and that is what we do at More Smiles Wisconsin."

Dr. Jeff Cooper

Dr. Jeff Cooper provides basic dental care to those who are unable to afford or access care in the fee-for-service system.

Dr. Kevin Greene

Dr. Kevin Greene is a part-time general dentist who specializes in fillings, crowns, extractions. Born and raised on the east side of Madison, Dr. Greene wanted to be a dentist after shadowing at a local practice in high school. Being able to work with his own hands and to restore the smiles of patients was all he ever wanted.

Emily Greb

Job Titles:

Emily Greb is an attorney at Perkins Coie LLP in the firm's patent litigation practice. She represents clients in patent infringement lawsuits in district courts across the country and in patent proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.

Emma Claussen

Emma Claussen has been a practicing RDH since 2018 and joined the team at More Smiles in 2020.

Emma Haak

Job Titles:
  • Patient Care Coordinator
Emma, as Patient Care Coordinator, is MSW's front line and first point of contact for the clinic's patients, both new and existing. Emma also supervises MSW's administrative volunteers and is responsible for the collection and management of much of the data the clinic utilizes to aid in securing grants and donations.

Hannah Manthey

Hannah helps people achieve healthy oral hygiene in whatever capacity they individually require. She assesses the health of their gums, bones, and determines what level of cleaning is most appropriate for them. She also offers tips and education on their daily routine that directly impacts the health of their mouth and entire body. Hannah's main goal is to form trusting relationships with people so they feel that going to the dentist isn't scary or embarrassing but rather that they feel comfortable and want to come back to More Smiles Wisconsin.

Peter Hill

Peter Hill, DDS, is a staff dentist who works at More Smiles Wisconsin Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday. During those days Dr. Hill does a variety of dental procedures including, exams, fillings, root canals, and extractions.

Rochelle Arnett

As a Dental Assistant Rochelle helps guide our patients through their appointments and answer questions they have. Rochelle grew up in a low-income family in Sauk Prairie, WI so she knows the struggle in finding quality dental care. She wants to help people in any way she can in order for them to get the dental care they need. Before coming to More Smiles Wisconsin Rochelle worked in a dental clinic as a dental assistant.

Ryan High - Treasurer

Shelley Stark

Shelley Stark grew up in a small town in Illinois with two very wonderful parents. Shelley worked for an amazing dentist who saw her potential and taught her so much that she still carries to this day. Through a series of jobs and experiences, Shelley has come to have a better understanding of people and their varied experiences. Shelley is very passionate about educating people, particularly people who are afraid of dentists, in a positive nurturing way so that they are no longer afraid and will follow through with the various treatments they may need. Shelley's passion and empathy lead her to want to help people less fortunate, as well as educate people and students about dentistry in a positive light.

Stacy Nehmer

As Executive Director at More Smiles Wisconsin Stacy Nehmer oversees Staff, finances, grant writing, and participates in multiple committees. Stacy graduated from Ashford University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Stacy has worked with nonprofits for 10 years. Prior to MSW she came from Beaver Dam where she launched a dental program there. Stacy has been with MSW since 2017.
