David Woods

' legal career has always been focused on real estate. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2000 after graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Law. David practiced real estate law at a larger firm until the spring of 2018 when he and Jason Moss left to form Moss Woods PLLC. David handles all commercial real estate transactions and commercial title examinations for the firm. Offering clients a "one-stop shop" for title and commercial real estate matters, he serves the entire state of North Carolina. David regularly assists with title certifications, acquisition, financing, development, leasing and disposition of all types of commercial real estate. Additionally, David represents banks and other lenders in connection with commercial real estate lending transactions. His clients include title insurance companies, banks, buyers, sellers, borrowers, landlords and tenants of commercial real estate. David has also been a leader in the North Carolina Bar Association. He is a past member of the North Carolina Bar Association Board of Governors and the North Carolina Bar Foundation Board of Directors. During the last two years of his term, David was on the Executive Committee of each Board. Prior to his election to the NCBA Board of Governors, David was Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association Real Property Section, the largest section of the NCBA. As evidence of the respect of his peers, David has been elected to Business North Cariolina's "Legal Elite". He also holds Martindale - Hubbell's highest rating of AV Preeminent. Most of David's clients are title insurance companies, banks, or developers/owners. Although he appreciates all his clients, he admits a certain fondness for community bankers: "I love community bankers; in fact, I love them so much, I married one." David's wife, Susan Woods, is also part of the Moss Woods firm. David lives in Oak Ridge with his wife Susan. He attends Lawndale Baptist Church. Additionally, he has served as Discussion Group Leader in Bible Study Fellowship International for six years. Jason Moss

Jason grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and High Point, North Carolina. He graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1996, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Speech Communications. He attended Wake Forest University School of Law where he was selected for the Law Review, Moot Court, and National Trial Team. Upon graduating law school, Jason completed a one-year federal clerkship with the Honorable William L. Osteen in the Middle District of North Carolina. To start his career, Jason practiced civil litigation for a number of years. However, since 2005, Jason has focused his practice exclusively in the field of residential real estate. Jason Moss has been one of my preferred closing attorneys for years because of his excellent track record of success! Jason and his staff are very responsive, always professional and completely trustworthy. I have the utmost confidence they will continue to take excellent care of my clients.

Sarah Dorr

Born and raised in northwest Guilford County, Sarah is happy to call the Triad home. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, majoring in political science and history with a minor in English and a dream of going to law school. The following year, she began as a double tar heel at UNC School of Law, where she earned the Top Client Counseling Award and competed on the Holderness Moot Court Client Counseling Team. Sarah quickly developed an interest in real estate by her second year of law school and completed a summer internship at Moss Woods, where hands-on title experience strengthened that interest. After graduation, Sarah joined a small residential real estate law firm in Morrisville and later joined Moss Woods in March of 2021. Throughout her time working in real estate law, Sarah has gained valuable experience in both residential and commercial real estate through closings, title work, and document preparation. With the help of the firm's seasoned staff, Sarah strives to ensure that each closing is handled smoothly and efficiently by clearly communicating with clients, real estate agents, and lenders and answering any questions that arise. She believes that getting a buyer to the closing a table with no surprises and a home they love is the most rewarding part of her job. Sarah and her husband, Kyle, live in Greensboro with their two cats, Chloe and Harvey. She enjoys traveling, watching Carolina basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
