NOURISH MINDS

As Head of Health education in a large Academy in the North East of England (Middlesbrough), Kelly was responsible for developing and coordinating a ‘Whole school approach' to health and wellbeing, including supporting the improv ements to the school food provision, introducing a traffic light system, termly whole school campaigns with the involvement of the student nutrition action group and the staff health champions, incorporating and conducting mindful and wellbeing interventions, writing and coordinating PSHE content, merging nutrition education into cross-curricular subjects, assembly and tutor time. In 2013-2015 Kelly regularly attended meetings at Westminster as a member of the all-party parliamentary group (APPG) on adult and childhood obesity, campaigning mainly on the topic of improving the nutrition education in the training of food teachers... Sharing information and resources to positively impact and embed a cultire of "nourish to thrive" in our schools and beyond
