Adam Dwyer

Adam Dwyer, BS, LAT, ATC joined the Pivot Physical Therapy team in February of 2021 as an athletic trainer at Saint James High school. I work out of the Hagerstown, Maryland clinic. I'm a member of the NATA and is BOC certified and Maryland licensed. I plan to complete a Master degree within the next two years in Business Administration in Healthcare Management. I previously worked at Frostburg State University for almost a year prior joining Pivot Physical therapy. I started my education at Hagerstown Community college and earned an Associates of General studies and eventually transferred to Frostburg State University to complete my Bachelors in Athletic Training.

Allison Hammond

MS, RAA, LAT, ATC Alli joined PIVOT in July 2006 as the Athletic Trainer for Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, MD. Alli took over as Regional Sports Medicine Coordinator in 2011, where she has overseen many counties, including Howard, Anne Arundel, and Calvert, while restructuring occurred and the Sports Medicine Division grew. Currently, Alli covers Wilde Lake High School and oversees Howard County Sports Medicine. Alli manages and maintains the Board of Certification Continuing Education Program for Athletic Trainers in PIVOT. She also is a member of the following: · PIVOT CEO Council · Sports Medicine Advisory Committee for Howard County. · National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) · Board of Certification (BOC) · Maryland Athletic Trainers Association (MATA) · National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) · Global Community of Women in High School Sports Alli graduated from Towson University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training. She furthered her education to obtain a Master's in Athletic Administration from Ohio University in 2020. Additionally, Alli received her Registered Athletic Directors certification in 2020. In her downtime, she appreciates the time she gets to spend with family and friends.

Amber Shatzer-Moats

Amber Shatzer-Moats is a 2005 Hancock Middle-Senior High School graduate. Since then she has pursued a career in sports medicine. In 2009 she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Roanoke College. Moats earned her Masters of Health Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2011 where she focused on a range of public health issues from health literacy to health policy and program development to target childhood obesity. Her education focused on gaining new insight and perspectives for promoting health and wellness in any physically active population. She has committed her career to improve and ensure quality health services that promote health, prevent illness, and that improve each person's ability to lead a productive life through sports medicine and public health initiatives. She has worked with a variety of athletes on the collegiate and professional level. Specifically, she had the privilege of working with Motorsports pit-crew athletes while completing an athletic training internship in Mooresville, NC (the home of NASCAR). Moats is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and a CPR Instructor through the American Heart Association. In her spare time, Moats enjoys kayaking, gardening and hiking with her family and dogs.

Amy Simmons-Hope

Amy Simmons-Hope joined Pivot in August 2012, and has been the head athletic trainer for Colonel Richardson High School in Federalsburg, MD since 2013. Since working at Colonel Richardson High School, Amy helped them to become the first school on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to be Awarded the Safe Sports School Award with a 1st Team designation by the NATA. Prior to working at Colonel Richardson High School, Amy was the head athletic trainer for Cambridge South Dorchester High School while working with Pivot. Amy loves being able to be a positive influence in the lives of her athletes and focuses a lot on the quality of care she provides as well as the relationships she builds. Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2009 from High Point University in High Point, NC, with graduate level work in sports medicine at Armstrong Atlantic State University (now Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus) in Savannah, GA. While at AASU, Amy was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for their baseball and women's soccer teams, and was also a part of the athletic training staff that was awarded the 2009-2010 Peachbelt Conference Athletic Training Staff of the Year Award. Amy is a member of the National Athletic Trainer Association, Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainer Association and Maryland Athletic Trainer Association. In the athletic training realm, Amy's special interests include the mental health aspects of sports, injuries, and healing; variations in concussion response and ongoing concussion rehabilitation; and teaching that athletic training is not all about tape. When Amy is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She also enjoys reading, and taking pictures of just about anything.

April Lankford

April Lankford joined Pivot Physical Therapy in 2018 and is the athletic trainer for our West Point location, splitting her time assisting in the clinic and at West Point High School. April graduated from Longwood University in 2018, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. During this time, she worked with Division 1 women's basketball and baseball as well as Division 3 soccer and football. In her free time, April enjoys traveling and going to the beach. She also enjoys country music concerts and spending time with her family and friends.

Bill Frye

Bill Frye is Pivot's outreach athletic trainer for Troy H.S and the Northern PA Regional Coordinator. He has been with Pivot and Troy high school since 2013. Currently he is on the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society (PATS) Executive Board as a North Central Regional Representative. He is a Deacon at Fellowship Bible Church in Troy, and a co-Wellness Advocate for doTERRA International. Before he came to Pivot, he had the pleasure of working as an athletic trainer for Salisbury H.S. in Allentown, The Pingry School in NJ, and the Northern Tioga School District when he was the lone athletic trainer for 3 schools. In 1996 Bill graduated from Hazleton Area High School. After High school he was accepted into Lock Haven University Athletic Training Program and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health Science in 2001. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with my family and being outdoors doing whatever.

Brad Hancock

Brad Hancock, MPT is a native of the Raleigh, NC area and now serves as Regional President for Pivot Physical Therapy. His responsibilities include strategic growth, management, and day-to-day operations for North Carolina and West Virginia. Brad earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Master's of Science degree in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University. He successfully founded and grew Activcare Physical Therapy to be a leader in the North Carolina outpatient physical therapy market, encompassing 10 locations. In June 2014, his clinics and employees joined the Pivot family. Brad has served in multiple roles throughout his time with Pivot Physical Therapy. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, surfing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Brendan McWilliams

Brendan joined Pivot Physical Therapy in July of 2016. He is the Regional Coordinator for Sports Medicine of the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware. Brendan is also the certified athletic trainer for North Dorchester High School in Hurlock, Maryland and at the Pivot Physical Therapy clinic in Cambridge, Maryland. Brendan previously worked at The Citadel in Charleston, SC as a resident athletic trainer. His primary responsibility was as an athletic trainer with the football team. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and Mid Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association. Brendan graduated from Salisbury University in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training. Brendan obtained his Masters Degree in 2017 from California University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration in Rehabilitation Sciences. Outside of work, Brendan enjoys going to the beach, exercising, playing basketball, hiking, and spending time with family. Brendan has two dogs named Henley and Oakley.

Brian Beaulieu

Brian entered the physical therapy profession more than twenty years ago after receiving his graduate degree from Old Dominion University in 1999. He has spent the last 17 years directing operations in Hampton Roads Virginia outpatient environment. Most recently, he has been tasked with expanding his leadership responsibilities to include 24 clinics in southern Maryland. His core principles include clinical excellence and providing the highest quality patient care available.

Brianna Kauffman

Brianna Kauffman is a licensed athletic trainer at Pivot's Oyster Point location in Newport News, Virginia. She is also the sole athletic trainer at Peninsula Catholic High School located in Newport News, Virginia. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA). Brianna began her career as a licensed athletic trainer with Pivot in August of 2019. Brianna graduated from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania in 2016 with her Bachelor's degree in exercise science. From there she decided to pursue a Master's degree in athletic training from West Chester University in Pennsylvania, and graduated in 2019. When Brianna is not in the clinic or at school, she enjoys watching professional sports and is a Philadelphia sports fan in all aspects. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and her family and taking trips wherever she can.

Brittany Smith

Brittany Smith is the certified athletic trainer at Spring Mills High School. She started working for Pivot Physical Therapy as a physical therapy technician in October of 2013 and was then hired as an athletic trainer for Spring Mills High School through Pivot in October of 2014. She graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training in May of 2013. From there she worked at Mount St. Mary's University, working predominantly with women's soccer, women's lacrosse, and some men's lacrosse as well. She also has work experience with Navy Lacrosse, Spring Mills Lacrosse, and Spring Mills youth football. In her free time she enjoys staying in shape and walking her husky.

Brittney DeMarco

Brittney DeMarco joined the Pivot team in July 2020 as South Hagerstown High School's athletic trainer. She also works out of the Hagerstown, MD physical therapy clinic. She is a member of the NATA, BOC certified, and licensed in Maryland and West Virginia. Brittney earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from West Virginia University in May of 2020. While at WVU, Brittney had the opportunity to work with WVU football and baseball, Fairmont State University football, and University High School athletes. In the future Brittney would like to obtain her Masters degree in education. In her free time, Brittney enjoys spending time with her friends and family and her dog Luna and watching or attending various sporting events.

Caitlyn Bussard

Caitlyn Bussard joined the Pivot team in July of 2016 as the athletic trainer at Jefferson High School. Caitlyn also works out of the Shepherdstown, WV physical therapy clinic working with a variety of patients and student athletes. She is a member of the NATA and BOC certified and West Virginia certified. She was previously an athletic trainer at Greencastle-Antrim High School in Pennsylvania. Caitlyn graduated in 2010 from Waynesburg University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. In her free time, Caitlyn enjoys spending time with her Husband and two sons.

Calvin Sibley

Calvin Sibley joined Pivot Physical Therapy in July 2016. He works as the certified athletic trainer at MOT Charter High School and Newark Delaware clinic. Calvin is a graduate of Western States College in CO with a BA in Kinesiology (Athletic Training) and a MS in Sports Management from Neumann University. He has over 20 years of experience working in college and a secondary setting at Carrabassett Valley Ski Academy, Mt Abram High School, St Mark's High School, Godley Beacom College and Delaware State University, along with time working as a physician extender in Orthopedics and Cast Tech. Calvin is a member of NATA. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his chocolate lab, doing woodworking, and watching college football.

Chris Roosa

Chris Roosa, DPT, OCS, MTC, CMTPT, PRC, TPS, is the Vice President of Clinical Services at Pivot Physical Therapy. Chris has been with Pivot for over 15 years, and has contributed to the development of many clinically advanced training programs that Pivot offers its clinicians today. He has both vast clinical experience and management experience, holding various leadership positions throughout his career. As the VP of Clinical Services, Chris is dedicated to assure the highest quality of advanced care is available to every patient served by Pivot Physical Therapists. Chris Roosa completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine in Florida in 2004, and his Bachelor's Degree in Health Science from Clemson University in South Carolina in 2002. Professional memberships include the American Physical Therapy Association, Maryland Physical Therapy Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, and the National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists. Motivation to stay current with the latest research and treatment techniques has led Chris to pursue several Post-Doctorate distinctions. He completed a Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) in 2007 from the University of St. Augustine and became an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2011. In the summer of 2012, he had the honor of serving on the US Olympic Sports Medicine Committee before the Summer Games in London, providing physical therapy services from the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center to Winter and Summer Olympic athletes. Achieving a certification from the Postural Restoration Institute (PRC) in 2014 further advanced his skills in the evaluation and treatment of complex clinical diagnoses. In 2015, he became Dry Needling Certified from Myopain Seminars. As a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT), he effectively treats myofascial trigger points and chronic muscle pain syndromes. In December of 2016, Chris continued his pursuit of clinical excellence and became a Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) from the International Spine and Pain Institute. The TPS experience allowed Chris to gain valuable knowledge of the treatment and worldwide research of chronic pain conditions. Chris continues to engage in the industry's highest educational offerings including participation in a Fellowship in Pain Science. The extensive experience and advanced certifications Chris Roosa has attained makes him one of the most diverse clinical leaders at Pivot Physical Therapy. Development of his in-depth skill set allows him to offer Pivot's clinical staff mentorship and guidance regarding the best clinical interventions and education opportunities to facilitate optimal functional outcomes.

Chris Throckmorton - CEO

Chris brings many years of healthcare experience to his role as CEO. Prior to Pivot, Chris served as the CEO of IntegraMed Fertility, the largest Fertility practice network in North America. Prior to that, he was the Group President and Chief Operating Officer of Surgery Partners LLC where he had significant operational and strategic responsibilities, holding lead responsibility for Surgery Partners ASC operations. Surgery Partners IPO'd on the NASDAQ in the fall of 2015. From 1998-2007 Chris worked at HealthSouth Corporation in various operational roles, becoming SVP of Operations for the Outpatient Division. After successfully assisting in the sale of the Outpatient Division to Select Medical Corporation in May 2007, he served as Division President of the West Region overseeing 350+ locations. Beginning in 2009, Chris was Divisional President of the Network Division at Select Medical. During his tenure, he developed and grew a new Worker's Compensation Specialty Network Product, enabling the company to compete for greater market share in the $80B work comp marketplace. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he was a John Motley Morehead Scholar. He earned his MBA in Finance from Georgia State University, graduating with honors. Chris is married to his wife Laura and they have five children ranging in ages from 12 to 21. Chris' interests include spending time with family, golf, tennis and reading, and he and Laura love to travel.

Christopher Horowicz

As Senior Director of Sports Medicine, Christopher Horowicz is responsible for managing patient care and outreach. Chris is a Baltimore native. He graduated from Goucher College in 1995 with Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations. While at Goucher, Chris was on both the swim and lacrosse teams and served as a lacrosse team captain during his senior year. He continued his education at the University of Utah and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise and sports science with a concentration in athletic training in 2001. There, he continued to play lacrosse for the University's club team and was honored in 1999 by the Rocky Mountain Inter-collegiate Lacrosse League as Second Team All Conference Defensive Player. He also continued to be involved with lacrosse by working as a coach and athletic trainer for Warrior's East meets West Camps. Chris earned a doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Utah in 2005. While pursuing his degree he presented his research "Motor Learning and Parkinson's Disease" at the UAPTA annual conference and was awarded Best Student Entry-Level Research Award from the Neurology section at the National APTA Conference.

Christy Kingan

Christy has been employed by Pivot Physical Therapy since 2010 and is the Director of Sports Medicine Operations. She served as the athletic trainer at Urbana High School from 2010-2016 and was named Sports Medicine Coordinator in 2013. In 2014 she was promoted to her current role. Prior to coming to Pivot Physical Therapy, Christy worked at North Carolina Wesleyan College where she served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer providing care for women's volleyball, basketball and lacrosse. Over the past 10 years she has been an integral part of developing, implementing and educating others on standardized programs throughout the company such as our New Grad Mentorship program. Christy has enjoyed building relationships with local doctors, communities and youth groups, growing the Pivot Sports Medicine outreach program and coordinating the annual Pivot Sports Medicine Staff Development Conference. One of her favorite parts of her job is working closely with young athletic trainers to bridge the gap from student to professional and helping them develop within their career. A 2004 graduate of Century High School, Christy went on to Greensboro College in North Carolina where she played lacrosse and obtained her Bachelor's Degree, majoring in both athletic training as well as exercise and sports science with a concentration in sports psychology and a minor in psychology. She then went on to pursue her Master's Degree in athletic training in 2009 from Ohio University. There she served as a graduate assistant for the OU football team and women's volleyball team.

Daniel Bianco

Daniel Bianco is the President of Sales and Market Development for Pivot Physical Therapy. In his role, Danny is responsible for Pivot's growth strategy and overseeing a team of physician and community liaisons. Danny's market knowledge coupled with his ability to foster and maintain physician relationships has been instrumental to Pivot's successful growth. Prior to joining Pivot, Danny was the President and CEO of Dynamic Physical Therapy. Under his leadership, Dynamic PT consistently ranked as one of the top two physical therapy providers in its market for close to 15 years. Danny sits on the Board of Trustees for Laurel Creek Country Club and is actively involved in Kids Chance of Delaware.

Daniel Speciale

As Regional President Dan Speciale, MPT is responsible for the strategic growth, management, and day-to-day operations in Delaware, Eastern Shore MD, Cecil County MD, and Baltimore MD regions. Dan completed his undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Delaware where he was a starting cornerback for the UD Blue Hens Football team. Prior to joining Pivot in June of 2015, he spent five years in the Dominican Republic doing medical missions with his wife and three children. During that time, he educated local therapists on best practices in physical therapy, served as an adjunct professor, and opened a fully functioning therapy center, which still serves the community today. He enjoys working out, fishing and spending time practicing sports with his children or relaxing with family and friends.

Eastern Shore Maryland

Eboni Coffey

Eboni graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. While at Delaware she worked with the softball, men's, and women's lacrosse, swimming, and diving teams. After graduating Eboni was an athletic training intern with UMBC athletics, working with field hockey and the track teams. Eboni is also a certified lifeguard.

Emily Smith

Emily Smith, MS, LAT, ATC joined Pivot Physical Therapy in January of 2019 as the athletic trainer at her alma mater North Hagerstown High School. Emily works out of the Hagerstown, Maryland clinic. She is a member of the NATA, is BOC certified, Maryland licensed and is a performance enhancement specialist. She also helps provide sports medicine coverage to Hagerstown Youth Hockey Association. Emily earned her Bachelors in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania while play soccer and running track. She also earned her Masters in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. In her free time Emily enjoys playing ice hockey with the Hagerstown Mayhem and spending time with her wife and two cats Howie and Leroy.

Jared Howell

Jared is an Athletic Trainer (AT) at Pivot Physical Therapy and Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg, VA. Jared has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2004 and began his career as an AT at The College of William and Mary. Jared joined Tidewater Physical Therapy as a clinic-outreach AT in 2006 where he worked in the clinic and at Walsingham Academy. After joining Walsingham Academy full-time for 2 years, he returned to Tidewater Physical Therapy/Pivot Physical Therapy in 2010 to assist with employment screenings and with the conditioning center while maintaining his role as the AT at Walsingham Academy.

Jeffrey Myers - VP of Sales

Jeffrey Myers currently serves as a Vice President of Sales at Pivot Physical Therapy. He manages a team of Physician and Community Liaisons throughout Delaware and Virginia as well as oversees Pivot's Patient Service Center. Prior to Pivot, Jeffrey was with Dynamic Physical Therapy since 1996 and served as the Vice President of Marketing. He is involved in numerous organizations and sits on several boards including: Pivot Cares Foundation (Executive Director), Kids Chance of Delaware (Treasurer), Delaware Arthritis Foundation (Former President), and Delaware Blue Gold Basketball benefitting Cancer Care Connections. Jeffrey also is a co-founder and partner of the Delaware Sports League, part of Hey Day Athletics. Outside of Pivot, Jeffrey, his wife and their two dogs enjoy spending time at the Jersey Shore in Margate.

Jillian Ambrose

Jillian Ambrose joined the Pivot Team in January 2021 as an Athletic Trainer for Montrose Area High School. Currently she is working to get her Personal Trainer Certification and Corrective Exercise Specialization from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in May 2020. During her time at Penn State she had experience working with their football, rugby, wrestling, track and field teams as well as with State College Area High School athletics. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, taking care of foster kittens with her mom, cooking, baking, and working on crafts.

Joan James

Joan James started with Pivot Physical Therapy in 2010 as the Athletic Trainer at both Walkersville and Oakdale High Schools. She then took a short hiatus in order to earn her Master's Degree and returned to Pivot and Oakdale High School in 2015. She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association since 2009 and is FMS certified. Joan enjoys being a preceptor for college students pursuing a degree in Athletic Training and providing internship opportunities for high school students interested in Sports Medicine. Her work on Landing Mechanics was published in Sports Health in 2016. Joan has a BS in Athletic Training from Limestone College, where she also played DII Lacrosse. She then earned an MS in Exercise, Fitness and Health Promotion from George Mason University where she was the GA for the Men's Soccer Team and the Men's & Women's Track & Field Team. When Joan isn't dedicating her time to her athletes she enjoys teaching and spending time with her family.

Jordan Rowley

Jordan is the athletic trainer at Middlesex High School. Currently, he is the temporary athletic trainer at Mathews high school until further notice. At this time, his athletic training services are being utilized at the Gloucester Courthouse as well. He joined Pivot Physical Therapy in 2019 to which he transitioned from Dominion Physical Therapy. He is also an active member of the National Athletic Training Association.

Joshua Ray

Joshua Ray is a 2021 graduate from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic training. He has multi-sport Athletic Training experience as his collegiate rotations included the University of Delaware Baseball, Field Hockey, Tennis and Men's Basketball teams. Joshua is also familiar and experienced with the High School setting where he served as a student athletic trainer for fall Sports at Newark High School in Newark, DE. He is currently a graduate student, attending California University of Pennsylvania, headed for his Master of Science degree in Sports Performance and Injury Prevention. Joshua is on track to obtain his CSCS in the very near future. His career aspirations are to work as an athletic trainer with a division 1 Collegiate Basketball team and then ultimately moving on to the NBA. In his free time Joshua likes to exercise, play basketball, cook food, and listen to music.

Karen Maher, General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer, oversees all legal matters, and manages compliance issues, ensuring all Pivot business areas comply with regulatory requirements and the company, and all employees, are complying with internal policies and procedures. Karen is a highly accomplished senior attorney with significant healthcare experience providing valued strategic guidance to senior leadership in multiple disciplines, helping companies navigate complex legal and regulatory matters, while driving revenue recognition, streamlining operations, managing risk and mentoring teams. Karen received her BA in Government and Political Science from the University of Maryland and earned her JD degree at Columbus School of Law, the Catholic University of America, in Washington, DC.

Kari Elzey

Kate Strouse is the head certified athletic trainer at Urbana High School in Ijamsville, MD and works at the Urbana Pivot location. Kate joined the Pivot team in October of 2020 and has previous experience in the high school and outpatient rehab settings. Kate is nationally certified by the Board of Certification and holds a license to practice in Maryland. Kate graduated from Urbana High School in 2014 and then graduated from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2018 with a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training. She was a member of the women's swim team for 4 years as well as a member of the Iota Tau Alpha Honors Fraternity. She was voted team MVP her junior season as well. Kate was the head athletic trainer at Wootton High School in Rockville, MD and worked as an athletic trainer in the Adventist HealthCare Wellness Program from August 2018-September 2020 before coming back to Frederick. Katie Bond is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Pivot Health Solutions. In this role, she manages a team of Physician and Community Liaisons as well as directs all marketing and communication aspects for the company, both internally and externally. With over ten years of experience in marketing and sales, with a strong focus in physical therapy, Katie has worked in various roles and was a key member of Pivot's founding team. Her relationships, desire and drive was instrumental in the company's growth and produced one of the largest private-practice physical therapy providers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to working at Pivot, Katie worked in the hotel industry and managed multimillion-dollar sports contracts and was the liaison between the hotels and universities. Her passion for healthcare and sales made her jump at the opportunity to leave the hotel industry and begin her career in healthcare. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications from Stevenson University. She is a proud mother of three, who stays involved in local charities and nonprofit organizations.

Kayla O'Connell joined Pivot in July 2020. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer at Catoctin High School and the Pivot Physical Therapy Clinic in Emmitsburg, MD. Kayla is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. Kayla is also a M1 Graston Provider, certified in Level 1 Functional Movement Screen assessment, and is an ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainer. She has experience in numerous high school settings and spent a semester working with the University of Michigan Football team. Kayla is a Frederick native and she went to Shenandoah University, graduating in 2019 with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and in 2020 with her Master of Science in Athletic Training. Kayla played softball at Shenandoah while completing her Bachelor's degree. When not at work, Kayla enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her family and friends, reading, and anything Disney!

Kayleigh Dolphin

Kayleigh is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). Kayleigh was born in California but has lived in many states, eventually ending up in North Carolina. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Campbell University. While in the program she worked with the Camels Football and Track and Field teams as well as a variety of populations including, military and law enforcement personnel. After graduating she went on to get her Masters Degree in Sport Management with a Certificate in Project Management from Western Carolina University. While she was there she worked as an Intern Athletic Trainer with the Football and Track and Field teams. From there she went on to Guilford College working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Volleyball, Women's Soccer, and Men's Lacrosse teams. In addition to her position she was a preceptor for the UNC Greensboro Masters in Athletic Training Program. While at Guilford she had the role of an Adjunct Professor, teaching in the Sport Studies Department. She most recently worked with special populations at NextStep Raleigh using neurological recovery training to aide those living with paralysis from spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, multiple sclerosis, and other conditions. Outside of work she enjoys watching the Buffalo Bills and spending time with her cat Lita.

Keri Foreman

Keri Foreman is a Certified Athletic Trainer who joined Pivot Physical Therapy in July of 2018 and is the Athletic Trainer at Hedgesville High School. She is licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the states of West Virginia and Maryland. Keri has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 19 years and has worked in several settings including Physical Therapy High School Outreach, NCAA Divisions I-III Collegiate Athletics, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Keri's most recent position prior to Pivot was an Associate Athletic Trainer for 5 years at Stevenson University providing coverage for Men's Soccer, Women's Ice Hockey, and Softball. Keri is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Performance Enhancement Specialist, and has the Functional Movement Screen Certification. Her primary areas of interest are evidence based practice, injury prevention, head and neck injury management, and maximizing athletic performance with strength and conditioning techniques and nutrition. Keri obtained her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Alfred University in 2002 and was also a member and captain of the Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field teams. After working as an Athletic Trainer for 10 years she went back to school and obtained her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013. The thesis Keri completed at CalU is titled "The Effect of External Ankle Support on Ankle Strength During a Competitive Basketball Season." Keri was also a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the University's Club teams providing practice and game coverage primarily for Men's and Women's Ice Hockey and Men's and Women's Rugby. She also worked closely with their Strength and Conditioning Coaches to further improve her Strength and Conditioning and injury prevention skills. Kevin Dintino

Kevin Dintino, PT, DPT joined Pivot Physical Therapy in 2016 and has the role of Regional President for the geographical areas of western and northern Virginia, DC, and northern Maryland. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toledo in consortium with the Medical College of Ohio in 1989. He then went on to receive his transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy with an emphasis on Private Practice Management from the EIM Institute of Health Professions in 2013. Kevin has worked in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinics his entire career and has a particular interest in foot biomechanics and kinematics of the lower extremities. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and hiking.

As CFO, Kevin is responsible for the financial forecasting and budgeting processes, overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting, and advising on long-term business and financial planning. He also oversees the finance and accounting teams. Kevin has extensive experience in financial operations with over 14 years in Big 4 public accounting including 13 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers working in PwC's London, Los Angeles and Tysons Corner offices focusing on the healthcare industry. A demonstrated leader, Kevin has a successful record in bottom line performance improvement to maximize stakeholder value, as well as proven ability to manage large multi-component teams and execute within fast-paced, changing business environments. In his most recent role, Kevin served as Vice President of Finance of Inpatient Rehabilitation for Select Medical based in Mechanicsburg, PA where he administered all financial operations for the organization's inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. Kevin served as a voting board member for a number of esteemed rehabilitation hospitals throughout the country. Kim Frieberg

Kim currently serves as the clinic director of the Garner, NC location. She has been with Pivot Physical Therapy since August 2014 in the Northern Virginia area, and has been serving as a clinic director since 2015. Kim's experience in physical therapy is primarily in sports medicine; having treated athletes at every level including professionals in the NBA and NFL. As a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist, she also has experience treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including, but not limited to: post-surgical joints, neck and back pain and SI joint dysfunction. She also specializes in concussion management and is a certified dry needling provider through Myopain Seminars, which can be incorporated within patient care. She is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Athletic Trainers' Association. Kim received her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Lynchburg College in 2011. She continued her education at Lynchburg College completing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014. She is currently working as the athletic trainer at Hammond High School. Leah received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Boise State University in 2017. In 2019 she received a Master of Education in Education and Human Resource Studies as well as a Graduate Certificate in Nutritional Sciences from Colorado State where she worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the football team. Lesley-Anne King

Prior to working with Pivot, Lesley was an athletic trainer at the University of Miami from 2010-2018, Florida International University from 2008-2010 and Villanova University from 2007-2008. Lesley earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training from Boston University in 2007 and her Master's degree from Florida International University in 2010. Lindsay Howard

Lindsay Howard is an outreach Athletic Trainer for Lackawanna Trail High School. She joined the Pivot team in the summer of 2020. Prior to working at Pivot, Lindsay worked as an Athletic Trainer in the secondary school setting in Fort Myers and Sarasota, FL. She is a corrective exercise specialist and holds certifications in FMS (functional movement screen), Y-Balance Test, and Hawk Grips (IASTM). Lindsay received her B.S. in Athletic Training from West Chester University (c/o 2014) and M.S. in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of Florida (c/o 2016). Outside of Pivot and Lackawanna Trail High School, Lindsay utilizes her personal training certification (NASM) and enjoys conducting small group training and 1-on-1 sessions. Luis Zamora Patino

Luis Zamora Patino is a certified athletic trainer licensed to work in the state of Delaware. He joined Pivot during the month of August, 2021 providing Athletic Training services to Wilmington University and the Pivot Physical Therapy Clinic in Bear, DE. He is currently a graduate student at Concordia University Chicago working on his Master of Science in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength & Conditioning. Luis plans to obtain his CSCS certification. His career aspirations are to gain experience working with soccer athletes in order to work as an athletic trainer in the MLS. Marcus X. Patterson

Marcus X. Patterson is an athletic trainer at Howard High School in Howard County, Maryland, where he joined the Pivot team in October 2019. Marcus is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). Before starting his professional career with PIVOT, Marcus worked as a Martial Arts Instructor and Camp Counsellor. Marcus graduated from George Mason University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training (Sports Medicine) and a minor in Kinesiology. While attending George Mason, his clinical rotations for Athletic Training included: Lake Braddock Secondary School (Burke, VA), The Jackson Clinics (Alexandria, VA), George Mason University Athletics (Fairfax, VA), and Cardozo Education Campus (D.C.). In addition to athletic training, Marcus was also the Mason Taekwondo Club president for five consecutive years. Marcus grew up in Bowie, MD, and has engaged in combat sports competitions since he was 12. His passions include martial arts, fitness, gymnastics, watching anime, playing video games, snowboarding, and videography. He enjoys filming and editing sampler and stunt choreography videos that include various stunts, acrobatics, and martial arts during his free time that he performs himself.

Mary Wooters

Mary Wooters is an Athletic Trainer at North Caroline High School and works at the clinic in Easton, MD. She focuses a lot of her attention on the quality care and rehabilitation that her athletes and patients at the clinic need. Over her 15 year career, Mary has been the athletic trainer for Easton, St. Michaels, and Colonel Richardson high schools. She also worked at the Salisbury, MD clinic while she was the outreach athletic trainer at the Salisbury School and Worcester Preparatory School. Mary then became full time at Worcester Preparatory School for 5 years before moving back to her home town of Denton, MD and reuniting with the Caroline County schools. She also works many basketball, lacrosse, and softball tournaments around the state of Maryland. Mary is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association. Mary received her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2004 and her Master's degree in Applied Health and Physiology from Salisbury University in 2006. She continues to stay active by participating in local 5k events and playing co-ed softball with her husband. She spends most of her free time with her daughter, age 6, and her son, age 3. Matthew Lamb

Matthew Lamb is an Athletic Trainer at Pivot Health Solutions. He joined the team in September, 2021. Matthew is passionate about providing quality service to the sports teams under his care, whether it's injury prevention, sports performance, or assessment and injury management. As a recent graduate of Mercyhurst University, Matthew looks to apply the skills and values instilled in him at his alma mater to the Pivot Health Solutions Team. While obtaining his B.S. in Athletic Training, Matthew had the pleasure of working with NCAA Division II Baseball, Women's Soccer, Wrestling, Football, and Men's Lacrosse. Working with a wide variety of student-athletes was a great learning experience. His biggest take-away was that each athlete is unique and must be provided individualized care. When Matthew is not on the sideline of a game, he likes to stay physically active. Matthew enjoys finding new trails to hike, lifting weights, and cross-country skiing. He also enjoys spending time in the kitchen, trying out new recipes.

Midori Sawyer

Nicole Kreimer joined Pivot Physical Therapy in March of 2021 as the athletic trainer at Clear Spring High School. Nicole works out of the Hagerstown Valley Mall clinic in Maryland. She is a member of the NATA, BOC certified, and licensed in the state of Maryland. Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Messiah College in May of 2020. While at Messiah, Nicole had the opportunity to work with Messiah's men's soccer, men's basketball, and baseball teams, in addition to Dickinson College's football and women's lacrosse teams. In Nicole's free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing softball, kayaking, hiking, and spending time outdoors.

Preston Anderson

Preston Anderson joined Pivot in August of 2013 as an Athletic Trainer at Governor Thomas Johnson High School. In 2019, he moved into the role of Sports Medicine Area Operations Manager. He oversees the Athletic Trainers and Regional Coordinators throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia. Preston is a North Carolina native and graduated from Lees-McRae College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. In 2012, Preston Graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Science in Athletic Training. Rebecca Godwin

Rebecca Godwin joined the Pivot Team in August of 2019 as Williamsport High School's athletic trainer. She also works out of the Hagerstown Physical Therapy Clinic. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association. She is extremely passionate about the profession and hopes to make a positive impact in every one of her student athletes' lives. Rebecca Godwin earned her Bachelor of Science in May of 2019 from Slippery Rock University. During her time at Slippery Rock University, Rebecca was able to work with an array of athletes. She was a student athletic trainer off campus at Moniteau High School and Westminster College, a Division III school. On campus she was able to work with the men's and women's basketball teams, men's and women's track and field, and football team. She also had the opportunity to shadow a nurse in the local emergency room where she gained valuable general medicine knowledge. In the future, Rebecca Godwin would like to return to school and obtain her Master's degree in mental health counseling and become a Licensed Professional Counselor. In her free time, Rebecca can be found relaxing with friends and family, following Slippery Rock University sports, or taking her Jeep Wrangler out for a drive.

Rebecca Smith

Rebecca Smith, MS, LAT, ATC is entering her second year with Pivot Physical Therapy - she joined the company in December of 2019 where she is the contracted Athletic Trainer for Sussex Central High School in Georgetown, Delaware. She is BOC certified, licensed in the state of Delaware and a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and the Delaware Athletic Training Association. In 2017, Smith graduated from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science where she completed an internship with a sports performance clinic. From that internship, she discovered her passion for rehabilitating athletes and pursued her Master's degree in Athletic Training at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia - graduating in 2019. During her time at Bridgewater College, Smith worked closely with various Division III athletes - including Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball, and Baseball. Smith also completed a yearlong clinical rotation at Indian River High School in Dagsboro, Delaware where she gained experience working with secondary level athletes covering all 22 DIAA sanctioned sports including football, wrestling and boys and girls lacrosse. After graduating from graduate school, Smith moved back to Georgetown, Delaware where she began working at her alma mater - Wesley College, as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. Smith provided primary coverage for Division III field hockey, men's and women's soccer and volleyball. Following the fall season, Smith accepted her position to take over at Sussex Central High School - another of her alma maters. Outside of work, Smith enjoys living at the beach, traveling, cuddling her dog, Nike and raising her niece, Aurora.

Stephen brings 40+ years of senior level management expertise to Pivot with a focus on leadership and corporate renewal across many industries, including healthcare. Prior, Stephen was a partner at Deloitte where he led the firm's Fiduciary Services Practice until he retired to form Gray & Company in 2014. Mr. Gray has led a distinguished career and is well known in the financial and legal communities throughout the U.S. Stephen began his career as an engineer and was a master's level teaching fellow at Tufts University in mechanical engineering. Upon moving into management, Stephen has enjoyed decades of successful leadership and governance across industries.

Todd Kramer

Todd has over 25 years of leadership experience and a history of achieving positive results. Prior to joining Pivot in March 2017, he received CPA certification at KPMG, excelled as a key member of the senior management teams of Joyner Sportsmedicine Institute, NovaCare, Select Medical, Drayer Physical Therapy, and helped lead ProCare Physical Therapy to become the 26th largest outpatient therapy provider in the USA. While at NovaCare/Select, he served as the Director of Operations for over 175 offices and 6 occupational medicine facilities, he served in roles at Drayer as the Controller and Director of Business Office Operations. At ProCare, he joined the company as a consultant in 2006, served as the Chief Financial Officer and became an owner in 2014. Todd believes that building a company culture where people have clear purpose and direction, share common values, where employees truly care about each other and are dedicated to delivering an exceptional patient experience, will lead to exceptional results. Todd graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Todd lives in the Harrisburg, PA area with his wife Jeri and their three daughters, they enjoy traveling and spending time at the beach.

Valerie Roberts

Valerie joined Pivot Physical Therapy in 2019 as the Director of Front Office Operations. Prior to Pivot, she was the Executive Director for Physician Practice Associates. She relocated to the DMV from Atlanta where she spent 16 years in operations with Eagle Hospital Physicians. As Director of Operations for Pivot, Valerie's responsibilities include developing standard policies and procedures for the Front Office, providing training for the Front Office, and collaborating with Clinical Directors, Area Managers, Front Office Managers, and Regional Presidents to ensure effective and efficient Front Office operations in all Pivot Physical Therapy Clinics. Valerie is a proud two-time graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. She earned a BS in Accounting and later returned and earned my MBA. Currently, she lives in Elkridge, MD with her amazing husband Mark. When she is not busy visiting Pivot Clinics, you can find her cooking, reading, listening to music and spending quality time with family and friends.

William Holland

Bill is responsible for best practice policy, strategic planning, and quality control for work injury rehabilitation and prevention services. He has extensive advanced work rehabilitation clinical experience and has implemented effective risk management and safety programs in a wide variety of occupational settings across the US over a 23 year career. Bill is committed to building close employer-provider relationships with a focus on the management of indemnity and medical costs associated with employee injuries.
