Chad Pettengill has worked for the IRBs of the University of South Florida, University of California, San Diego and, most recently, Temple University where he served as IRB Director. Prior to his career in human subjects research, Chad was an attorney for the University of South Florida. Chad has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florida, a Masters in International Business from the University of San Diego, and a Juris Doctorate from Mercer University. In his spare time, Chad likes riding rollercoasters.

Chris St. Louis

Chris St. Louis has joined OIT's Project and Technology Consulting Office as the Research System Implementation Project Manager. He is taking over the management of the implementation of the eRIA IACUC module, a system designed to facilitate the review and approval of animal research proposals, for the Research Integrity and Assurance office under the Dean for Research. Chris has over 20 years of system implementation project management experience. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business & Administration from Salford University in England. Chris now lives in Clinton Township, NJ with his wife, Stefanie and his 3 daughters, Gemma, Nicola (Nikki), and Gianna. He is a lifetime Chelsea F.C. fan (English soccer) and enjoys fair-weather cycling when time permits. Chris is easy to identify as he is one of only two people on the 3rd floor of 87 Prospect without an accent ;-)

Hope Caldwell

Hope Caldwell joined the office of Research Integrity and Assurance in July 2022 to oversee and enhance the Conflict of Interest program for RIA and the University. Previously, since 2015 she managed the Institutional Compliance Program as Associate Director, Compliance in the University's Office of Audit and Compliance. Prior to joining Princeton, she spent her career in legal and compliance/ethics roles, serving the City of Philadelphia as the Chief Integrity Officer, Chief Deputy Integrity Officer, and Deputy City Solicitor. Hope earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Penn State University. She is a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA), and the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA). Originally from Pittsburgh, she is a die-hard Steelers fan and ensures her twin sons and husband, Ron continue to support Pennsylvania sports teams while adding the Princeton Tigers to their weekend fandom.

Lauren Danridge

Lauren came to Princeton University from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, where she served as the Assistant Director, Quality Assurance and the Associate Director, ACUO. Prior to that, Lauren was the IACUC Director at Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ), Newark, NJ (16 years). Lauren has over 20 years of experience in laboratory animal research and compliance, including hands-on animal research and IACUC Administration. Lauren also has served as a research administrator in basic science departments, responsible for managing a variety of administrative processes, including pre- and post-award grant activities, contracts, manuscripts, presentations, and protocols. As an active contributor to the national animal care and use community and higher education institutions, Lauren regularly presents on research administration best practices for IACUC, occupational health and safety, and biosafety. Lauren is also the lead author for Lab Animal's "Protocol Review" column. Lauren obtained her BA in psychology with honors in biopsychology at William Paterson University (where she also met her husband). In addition to her Six Sigma Green Belt (GBSS) and Lean Six Sigma (LSSS) certifications from Villanova University, Lauren holds the Certified Professional in IACUC Administration (CPIA®) credential from PRIM&R and the Certified Professional Biosafety Compliance Administrator (CPBCA) from the Biosafety Administrators Association.

Lisa Crane was promoted to Compliance Administrator, IRB in 2022. Prior to joining the IRB, she had been RIA's Administrative Services Manager since 2019. Lisa was first hired at Princeton University as an office assistant in May 2014 for the Office of Technology Licensing. Prior to her employment at Princeton, Lisa owned a small in-house advertising and marketing company that provided corporate ID, collateral materials and print advertising. Lisa holds a B.A. in Advertising Communications from Glassboro State College. Lisa lives in Princeton with her husband, Bill Crane. They have two children, Marshall who lives in Columbus, OH, and Abigail who lives in Arlington, VA.

Megan Maryott

Megan Maryott joined the Research Integrity and Assurance office in 2016, working a summer internship that continued for 3 years. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Behavior from Towson University, followed by her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology from Camden County College, an AVMA Accredited University. Megan spent six years at a specialty animal hospital working as an Emergency and Critical Care Credentialed Veterinary Technologist. She was promoted to Lead of the Emergency Department in 2022, helping run one of the busiest Veterinary Specialty Emergency Rooms in the area. Megan enjoys training and teaching staff on policies and procedures and helping them gain experience to excel in their chosen field. She enjoys working with all types of animals including exotic species and some farm animals. Megan joins RIA now as the Senior Compliance Administrator, overseeing the protection of the research subjects and training of the staff. She proudly holds certifications in Fear Free Handling of animals and is RECOVER Certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support in Veterinary Medicine. In her free time, Megan enjoys doing art projects and spending time with her two girls Madelyn and Riley, her son Jackson, and her dog Franny at her home in South Jersey.

Ming-Hui Chou

Ming is joining RIA as the System Analyst/Application Delivery Manager to implement the eRIA IACUC and IBC research compliance modules from InfoEd. Ming brings more than 10 years of experience designing training strategies and providing business analysis for both higher education and corporate environments. In her most recent position at Temple University, Ming designed and provided extensive training and worked to implement a number of InfoEd applications including Proposal Development/Tracking, COI and Compliance modules to facilitate and promote the overall efficiency of research administration. Ming received her B.S. in Management Information Systems from the Ohio State University and her M.S. in Instructional Technology from Lehigh University. She lives in Fort Washington, PA with her husband, Hsin-Ji.

Robert Scalese

Robert Scalese joined Princeton University within the office of Research Integrity and Assurance administrating both the Institutional Biosafety Committee and Conflict of Interest in Research area. Bob received his formal education from the Pennsylvania State University (BS/83, MS/86). Upon graduation he began his career working for Bristol Myers Squibb with the Department of Pharmacology in drug development. He accepted continual growth opportunities while acquiring extensive experience in aseptic surgery, anesthesia, imaging, drug delivery, and veterinary clinical medicine. He also managed a two site team that was responsible for animal model development, project support, enrichment, clinical care and colony health of all animals at both facilities. He also served as a voting member for the IACUC. More recently, Bob worked as a consultant in surgical animal model development for Columbia University and Covance Research Products. Bob lives in Philadelphia, Pa with his wife, Trisha, and 4 children, Daniel, Michael, Carter and Lila. He is an avid music collector.

Sandy Baker joined the office of Research Integrity and Assurance in August 2018 to fill the role of post-approval monitoring compliance for the IACUC, IBC, and IRB. He received a BS in Biology from Saint Joseph's University and earned his Master's degree in Laboratory Animal Science from Drexel University. Sandy has worked in the field of veterinary medicine since 2001, working in general veterinary care practices through completion of his masters, and then as a laboratory technician and assistant scientist for 8 years in a research lab at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He is a member of DVB AALAS and was the recipient of the Harry Rozmiarek-Technician Author Support Program Award in 2018.

Sheera Gaskin

Sheera Gaskin joined the office of Research Integrity and Assurance in February 2016 to implement a post-approval monitoring compliance program for the IACUC, IRB, and IBC. She was promoted to Assistant Director in 2018. Sheera earned her Master's degree in Laboratory Animal Science from Drexel University. She is an AVMA accredited Graduate Veterinary Technologist, and a PRIM&R Certified Professional IACUC Administrator. Sheera has worked in the field of veterinary medicine since 1997, specializing in emergency medicine and anesthesia since 2003. She has served on an IACUC since 2002, and has specialized in animal research and compliance since 2007. Sheera has been the recipient of the Bio-Serv Enhancement and Improvement of Animal Welfare Award 2012 and the Drexel University Academic Achievement Award 2007-2009. Sheera is an adjunct professor and has served as the IACUC Chair at Camden County College since 2012. She is a member of the National Honors Society and professional organizations including DVB AALAS, National AALAS, PRIM&R, NABR, NJABR, NJVTA, IACUCAA, and PSBR. Sheera is active in public outreach that involves educating the public on the humane use of animals in research and the important role of the IACUC. Sheera enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband Tim and son Elijah.

Stuart Leland

Stuart Leland joined Princeton University to lead the Office of Research Integrity and Assurance (RIA) in August 2012. Stu received his formal education from Cornell (BS/83), UC Davis (DVM/88), Michigan State (intern/89), and Yale (Postdoctoral Fellow/96). He held academic positions at the University of Pennsylvania and the Institute for Human Gene Therapy before joining the private pharmaceutical sector with Aventis, Wyeth/Pfizer, and Merck. Stuart is board certified by the American College of Laboratory Medicine (ACLAM). He is on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine and previously served on the faculty at MCP Hanneman/Drexel University in their Masters in Laboratory Animal Science program. Stuart holds leadership roles in a number of laboratory animal professional groups including AALAS and ACLAM and continues to perform outreach to the community about the importance of biomedical research. Stuart lives on a small farm in PA with his son, Ellis.

Susan Kiesling joined Research Integrity and Assurance as Compliance Administrator starting January 7th. Susan comes to Princeton with 26 years of experience at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, where in her most recent role she served as IRB Administrator. Susan has a B.A. in Psychology from Drew University and an M.A. in Education, Psychological Services, from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a certified IRB Professional.

Vineeta Bhardwaj joined Research Integrity & Assurance in June 2022 as an Administrative Services Manager. Vineeta interacts with research departments across campus to help fulfill RIA's mission to support compliance; she also works on budgeting, web design, and the electronic management system for the RIA team. Vineeta was hired at Princeton University in May 2016 as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Corporate Engagement and Foundation Relations, where she assisted the CEFR team in managing daily operations and creating and designing internal reports, presentations, and newsletters. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rajasthan University, India.
