Daniel Benedict

Daniel has held management and engineering roles in conventional oil and gas projects focusing on production enhancement, optimization, and development. He has worked for Citation Oil & Gas, Double Eagle Petroleum, and Baker Hughes among others, and has previously managed waterfloods and EOR programs in Utah, Texas and Colorado. Daniel has a BS and a MS in Petroleum Engineering, from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado. He is a SPE member and author of SPE Paper 119355.

Dave Patterson

Job Titles:
  • VP - Geology & Geophysics
Dave is a seasoned technical professional and entrepreneur with 38 years of geology, geophysics, engineering and startup experience. Dave most recently worked at D3-Energy and was the Exploration Manager at Rose Petroleum, Ultra Petroleum, Davis Petroleum and Carrizo Oil and Gas. Prior to Carrizo, Dave was a partner that successfully built Quisto Exploration. Dave started his career at Tenneco E&P and had cross training in Reservoir, Production, and Drilling functions while there. Dave has a BS in Geological Engineering with emphasis in Petroleum Engineering and Geophysics from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado.

Kyle Scott

Job Titles:
  • VP - Drilling
Kyle has experience in with both service and E&P companies in engineering and field operations. He began his career as a Field Engineer in Cementing, working his way up to coordinator, Technical Sales and Cementing Product Champion for the Rockies, spending four years based in Vernal, Utah. In 2013, joined an operator as a Sr Drilling Engineer, where he oversaw the drilling of over 250 wells in the Pinedale Anticline for Ultra Petroleum. ​Kyle has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado.

Larry Hartman - CEO

Job Titles:
  • Chief Executive Officer
Larry has held management and operational experience roles in finance, acquisitions and divestitures, planning and reservoir engineering. Larry has executed nearly $7 billion of lead-left or corporate-level debt, equity and M&A projects in the energy sector. Larry has worked at Sabine Oil & Gas, Credit Suisse, Chevron and Unocal. ​Larry has an MBA from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts and a BS in Petroleum Engineering and a BS in Economics, both from the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado. He is a member of SPE, author of SPE paper 110086 and a former Series 79 license holder.

Rees Arnim

Job Titles:
  • VP - Engineering
Rees has held management and operational engineering roles in the exploration, development and production of unconventional and conventional reservoirs in the United States and internationally. Additionally, Rees has lead enhancement programs for a 140,000 bopd waterflood. His experience has covered both vertical and horizontal well development and optimization, while working for QRI, Marathon Oil, Encana Oil & Gas and Southwestern Energy.​ Rees has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado.
