I grew up on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, living life on the water. Coastal living taught me hard work, respect for nature and a commitment to those who keep us fed and clothed. Later I attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio (with an awesome spring semester living in Costa Rica)... After college, I worked throughout NW Oregon (environmental economist) before somewhat retiring my field boots to split my time between the Northwest & the Southwest...
