All of us on your Board of Directors hope that your 2007 golf and social season was enjoyable. As usual, the opening and closing scrambles were very popular. However, the Member/Guest did not achieve the number of players that we usually have. We did a survey and we think we have some answers to why the turnout was so low. So this year, the Member/Guest entry fee has been reduced by $25 and we plan to give tee prizes to guests, but not to members. That should make the prize money attractive while keeping costs down to the Club... Reluctantly, your Board has decided that a $25 increase in dues is necessary for this year. We spent down our reserves last year, and costs are always going up. Our social events are very important to almost all of us.
