Society for Rural Development and Eco- Conservation (SORDEC) is a non profit making and Non Governmental Organization was formed in the year 2002 and registered under societies registration act in the year 2005 to fulfil our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi's dream "GRAM SWARAJ". From the time of inception SORDEC is putting its effort on upliftment of socio economic condition of rural people and conservation of nature and natural resources in greater Kaliabor area of Assam. SORDEC is basically functioning with the contribution of members and donations/contributions from well wishers. Members of the organization give service voluntarily and do not take any kind of profit from the office for their service and position. The mission of the organization is Growth, Equity and Sustainability.
