Mr G.H. Parekh started his entrepreneurial journey with his first venture Injecta Ampoule Private Limited in the year 1971. This Daman-based enterprise dealt in manufacture & supply of Ampoules to the Pharmaceutical Industry. Later, in the year 1979, the product line was expanded further to the manufacturing of industrial Vials, to facilitate packaging of injectable drugs, under the company Bombay Glass Blowing Industries. At this point, Mr Parekh's sons - Mr J.G. Parekh and Mr U.G. Parekh - also joined the business and took up the reigns. Under their leadership, the enterprise grew multifold and Upaj Polycon Private Limited was established in the year 2000, to cater to the growing demand for plastic disposable products in the Dairy, Hotel & Beverage Industries. They set-up a plant in Vapi (Gujarat, India) to manufacture global-standard plastic sheets & containers. In 2018, the brand Star Pack was introduced into the market. It is engaged in the production and distribution of an extensive range of plastic disposable products and rigid packaging films that are used for the packaging of fresh produce. Many varieties of superlative-quality plastic packaging products like Punnets, Clamshells, Sealable Trays, Containers, Glasses etc are manufactured in a state-of-the-art Facility in Vapi. Today, the enterprise has over 300 members and three world- class manufacturing facilities in India.
