Dr Anthony Tang

Dr Anthony Tang is a specialist Breast Cancer surgeon, with clinical interests in Breast Conservation Surgery, Breast Reconstruction (Oncoplasty) and Sentinel Node Biopsy (for minimal lymph node removal). An ASEAN scholar in his pre-university days, Dr Tang was subsequently awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship for Medicine for his undergraduate medical education in Melbourne, Australia. He went on to complete his postgraduate surgical training and was conferred a joint specialist fellowship with the Singapore and United Kingdom (Edinburgh) boards. Apart from his surgical training, Dr Tang also attained 2 postgraduate Masters degrees, in Medicine (Surgery) and in Public Health (Clinical Epidemiology) respectively. Dr Tang has a strong research interest, particularly in the field of medical device innovation. In 2011, he was awarded the inaugural Singapore-Stanford Biodesign Fellowship. He was also the Fellowship Head at Singapore Stanford Biodesign, and the Clinician Consultant to I²R, A*STAR, and has trained over 400 budding medical device entrepreneurs. As the Clinical Principal Investigator, he was working with grants totaling over $4 million. As a result of his research work, Dr Tang was also conferred an A/Professorship with NUS. As a published scientific author, Dr Tang is a frequent speaker at many local and international conferences. He also often organizes and speaks at public symposiums in Singapore as he is an avid advocate for breast cancer screening. Personally, Dr Tang enjoys using his professional skills to benefit the underprivileged. Dr Daphne Han

Dr Daphne Han is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at LSC Eye Clinic in Paragon. She has been in practice for over 20 years. She is highly skilled in an extensive range of laser vision correction surgeries such as ReLEx® SMILE, LASIK, LASIK Xtra, Advanced Surface Ablation and Implantable Contact Lens (ICL). Apart from her refractive work, Dr Han is an expert in cataract surgery, both laser and conventional, using a variety of devices and lens implants, including complex cataract cases such as refixation and artificial iris implantation. She also manages general eye diseases such as childhood myopia, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, pterygium excision, and minor lid and squint surgeries. Dr Henry Cheng

Dr Henry Cheng completed his basic medical degree in the elite University of Malaya in 1982. He finished his specialist training in Singapore and received his postgraduate degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the United Kingdom and the Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the National University of Singapore in 1988. He underwent further training in Fetal Medicine with world renowned Fetal Medicine Foundation Founder, Prof Kypros Nicolaides, at the Harris Birthright Research Centre, Kings College Hospital, London in 1990. During his work with Prof Kypros Nicolaides, the research data used and analysed would eventually lay the foundation for the present OSCAR test used internationally for the screening of first trimester pregnancies for Down's syndrome. He did further research work in the University College London and the University of Nottingham and had multiple publications from his work. He obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists in 2000. Prior to starting his private practice, he was a senior consultant with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Singapore General Hospital and was head of the Fetal Medicine Division. He was also involved in the teaching and training of medical students, specialists in training as well as specialists. He was also actively involved in educating the public in many public forums and talks. During his private practice, he has presented papers overseas as well as locally and chaired many scientific meetings. Dr Henry Cheng is the former Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology group at Mount Alvernia Hospital. He has been a member of the MAB of Mount Alvernia Hospital since 2006. Dr Ida Ismail-Pratt

Dr Ida Ismail-Pratt is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist. Her passion lies in cervical cancer prevention and safe pregnancy and childbirth. Dr. Ida graduated from Glasgow University in 1997. She obtained her specialist accreditation (MRCOG UK) in 2010 and was awarded the fellowship in RCOG (FRCOG UK) in October 2023 for her contributions to obstetrics & gynaecology. Dr. Ida is an accredited colposcopist with the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) and a certified colposcopist with the Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Singapore (SCCPS). She is currently the Vice President of SCCPS. Formerly based in Scotland, United Kingdom, Dr. Ida came to Singapore in 2013, where she joined the O&G Department at National University Hospital (NUH) as the lead colposcopist and streamlined the colposcopy and gynaecological cancer screening and prevention service in NUH. Dr Ida also championed the introduction of the HPV DNA test in NUH in 2014. Under Dr Ida's leadership, NUH was the first hospital to introduce HPV Primary Screening in Singapore. Her work in HPV DNA test in NUH led to her being elected as Co-Chair for the Cervical Screen Singapore Implementation group, given the responsibility to update the national cervical cancer screening guideline and implementing HPV test as part of the national guideline. Dr Ida is also known internationally as an expert in HPV-related diseases. She co-created and is currently the co-director of the International Gynaecology Cancer Society (IGCS) Preinvasive Certificate Program, training doctors globally in cervical cancer prevention, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. She leads the Project ECHO meeting for the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS), which gives a platform for doctors globally to seek advice from experts on managing HPV-related diseases. She is also the Secretary and founding member of the Asia Pacific HPV Coalition, a recognised group of selected experts in HPV-related diseases, improving access to cervical cancer prevention in the Asia Pacific through research and advocacy. Additionally, Dr. Ida serves as the President of the Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Singapore (SCCPS), which is dedicated to education and training aimed at preventing and managing premalignancy and early malignancy of the female lower genital tract. Dr Ida's other passion for pregnancy and safe childbirth is rooted in an understanding that women's health and pregnancy are a partnership between the doctor and the couple. Dr Ida sees herself as a guide for each couple, providing them with the information and support they require through their pregnancy and childbirth. Dr Ida is an advocate for safe, normal childbirth but is also proficient in all instrumental vaginal deliveries and caesarean sections should these are required to ensure a safe delivery for both mother and baby. Dr John Huang

Dr John Huang graduated with honours from the University of Glasgow, U.K. and has 18 years of clinical experience. After training in internal medicine and obtaining membership in the Royal College of Physicians, he embarked upon radiology specialist training and obtained fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2003. While at the Singapore General Hospital, he was awarded a HMDP (Health Manpower Development plan) fellowship in cardiac CT and MRI at Emory University, Atlanta, U.S.A. During this time he was also a visiting consultant to the National Heart Centre and a clinical tutor for the National University Hospital. He was also an adjunct instructor for the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, a role for which he received an Outstanding Educator award. He continues to be involved in the post-graduate training of radiologists at the Singapore General Hospital. He has spoken and participated in numerous local and regional conferences and workshops, particularly on cardiac CT and MRI. He is the author of several journal publications, book chapters and poster presentations. He has also been an invited reviewer for some local and international medical journals. Dr Julinda Lee

Dr Julinda Lee was on the Dean's list and graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1995 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She was also awarded the Hoops Medal for Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Singapore Medical Association Bronze Medal in that year. She obtained her post-graduate qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (United Kingdom) and the National University of Singapore in 2000 and was awarded the Gold Medal in the Master of Medicine Examinations. (Obstetrics and Gynaecology). She was most recently admitted as a fellow into the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2014. Dr Lee has a keen interest in age management and has completed her training for independence in age management at Cenegenics Medical Institute in Las Vegas, which is approved by the American Medical Association. Dr Kenneth Lee

Dr Kenneth Lee joined his wife Dr Low to found The Sloane Clinic in 2003 at a time when aesthetic laser technology was being born worldwide. Dr Ng has also held multiple academic positions, including that of NUS School of Medicine Undergraduate Teaching faculty, Chief Examination Invigilator, Clinical Core Faculty for NUH PGY1 Residency Program, principal site investigator for multinational novel drugs for uterine fibroids as well as co-investigator for prospective studies of women's mid-life urogynaecological health issues, amongst others. Dr Olivia Chan is a family physician who graduated from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, in 2013. She has extensive experience working in various hospital departments, including Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She found her passion in Family Medicine, underwent residency training in Family Medicine and obtained her Masters in Family Medicine in 2018. Prior to pursuing her career in the private sector, she was an Associate Consultant Family Physician at National Healthcare Group Polyclinics. She has a special interest in chronic disease management, such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia. She also pursued further Graduate Diplomas in Mental Health and Dermatology to upskill herself in managing patients with special needs. Apart from providing clinical care, she was actively involved in teaching and held additional roles as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Clinical Tutor at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Faculty Member in the National Healthcare Group Residency programme. Dr Chan sees the importance of preventive care and has a special interest in health screening, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. She also hopes to raise awareness of the benefits of early screening and empower patients to take care of their health early in life to improve their quality of life even at an older age. Outside work, she enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her family. Dr Chan is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
