TANWEER INITIATIVE

Having been born and raised in the Arab world, we all had first hand experience with the tragedies of the refugee crisis. We recognized its effect on children, families, communities and society as a whole. After moving to Boston for university, we all shared a common passion and belief in the power of education. We thus came together from Harvard University, MIT, and Boston University and the Tanweer Initiative was developed... Tanweer Initiative strives to empower refugees to become catalysts of positive change within their communities. We aspire to create life long leaders and learners that have an unwavering commitment to the principles of global citizenship. This is accomplished through a novel experiential curriculum that was co-developed with refugees, psychologists, and professionals in the field.
