VICE LAB

VICE Lab is the research lab of Professor Joshua H. Viers and is currently based out of the University of California, Merced. We focus on pressing environmental problems facing California and the planet, with a particular emphasis on coupled human-environment systems, leveraging information systems to turn data into decisions, and novel solutions in environmental decision making. Dr. Viers is also campus Director for the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society ( CITRIS) and co-Director of the UC Water Security and Sustainability Research Initiative ( UC Water), both of which have strong research ties to VICE Lab... VICE Lab is located at the University of California, Merced, in the heart of California's Central Valley. Through national and international collaboration, we aim to bring a global perspective to issues pertintent to our region.
