The program in Electrical & Electronics Engineering is one of the premier undergraduate programs offered by the Velammal Institute of Technology. The EEE department has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members. With its excellent infrastructure, the department places emphasis on sound practical knowledge, while nurturing creativity in the students. The department organizes Industrial visits, Guest lectures, and Industrial internship every year for the students to provide industrial exposure. The Department has fully equipped with Electrical Machines lab, Control Systems lab, Power Electronics lab, Electronic Devices and Circuits lab, Electric Circuit lab and Power System Simulation lab for the practical and research oriented works of the students. The Department of EEE has the latest and powerful wide network computer systems, equipped with software like MATLAB and ETAP.
