April is a key member of our Accounts & Administration team, where she expertly handles all of our financial matters. With her friendly and approachable demeanor, April is always making the office a brighter and positive space. Her unparalleled attention to detail and excellent organizational skills ensure that our company's financial records are accurate and up-to-date at all times. Mitch is our construction manager. He is responsible for all projects management including estimating and project costs, and he is involved in the procurement, quality control, and installation process. As a qualified carpenter, he has extensive experience in the construction industry and uses his knowledge to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.

Brook Lassig

Nick leads our design team and develops and ensures the timely implementation of project schedules. He is involved in the set-up of estimates, the budgets and the construction timetable for clients and assists with the development and implementation of the construction strategy. Nick has extensive experience working in regional areas on indigenous and affordable housing projects, as well as major residential and tourism developments across the globe.

Karl Plunkett

Karl Plunkett goes by many titles. A Developer, who established successful building company, Australian Eco Constructions, in 1996. An Owner, specifically of Eco Beach in Broome where he first commenced working on the prototype eco tents, eco modules and gazebos. But above all, he is a Discoverer; this drive lead Karl to building the WABi Systems modular construction methodology. When others ask, "Are we there yet?", Karl asks "Where to next?". With a motto of building for the future, Karl draws on more than 25 years of building and construction experience matched with a proven ability to complete projects on time and within budget. Karl understands the unique challenges of developers looking for cost-effective solutions based on environmentally sustainable principles. For Karl, designing WABi Cabins is about seeing the world through the eyes of his clients in order to expose travelers to new experiences, teach life lessons, ‘switch' off, disconnect, and reconnect with nature. It's all about reciprocal trust - by making people available, standing by his product and doing the right thing first time, Karl creates platforms to create powerful experiences that burn into traveler memories.

Lesley Guntrip - CFO

Lesley has been with Australia Eco Constructions/Eco Structures since 1997 and is responsible for our accounting, reporting, budgeting and day to day processes. She has a thorough understanding of the economics of running a successful business and is surrounded by a strong, supportive team of long-standing colleagues. Renan is the team leader for structural drafting and construction documentation at WABi Systems. He has extensive involvement in the engineering, manufacturing and fabrication of all WABi system construction components. Renan allow our systems to be prefabricated accurately, produce zero waste and permit rapid and effortless construction.

Madison Relf

Tiki's experience in the industry has been shaped by her work with Eco Structures and the WABi Group, where she has developed strong brand identities. Her ability to think outside the box and create innovative solutions has been instrumental in establishing WABi Systems as a market leader in efficient building systems. Watching these systems grow and fulfill a large gap in the market has been an exciting journey for Tiki.

Michelle Simons

Michelle is our versatile and experienced internal accountant. With years of expertise in managing finances, she is a valuable asset to our team. Michelle is not only responsible for handling our accounts and ensuring that everything is up-to-date, but she also goes the extra mile by looking after our staff contracts/ on-boarding, ABNs and trademarks. Katie works closely with our clients throughout the sales process and determines the needs of our clients and offer solutions to those needs through our company's products or services. Responsible for the development and smooth sales transactions of all clients, Katie has extensive experience in sales and ensures that all clients receive the best service and experience they deserve.

Tom Butterfield

Tom Butterfield is a man on a mission - to make glamping mainstream. A self-proclaimed ‘glamping evangelist', Tom has spent the last decade working in the industry, helping to take an Australian company to the international marketplace. In 2012, he joined the WABi Group as the Sales and Business Development Manager and set about introducing the $3.3 billion global glamping trend to a wider audience. In other words, he knows how to turn your glamping dreams into reality. Madison is our creative eye when it comes to all things design and architecture. Madison is primarily a designer of experiences, she thrives when engaging in small footprint, environmentally friendly and wellbeing-driven design. Her passion for design is reflected in her conceptualisation of projects from the initial design brief, 3D renders, through to the final design and construct drawings.

Wing Hing Chong
