Alison Jones (Lead Tutor) studied at Camberwell College of Applied Arts, London for a B.A. Hons. Degree in Ceramics. Since graduating in 1995 she has taught pottery and figurative sculpture courses at Sunningwell School of Art, founded and teaches at Oxfordshire Arts and is a ceramics tutor at a variety of schools and community centres in the South Oxfordshire area. Alison is a member of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild, and is an Associate Member of the Craft Potters Association. A selection of her work can be seen in this online gallery. Her work is currently exhibited at Cotswold Glass & Crafts on The High Street, Burford, Oxfordshire, and Gallery @ 500ft in Lynton, Devon, and SOTA Gallery, Witney. Alison teaches weekly pottery classes and one day Raku workshops.

Dawn Miles

Dawn Miles well known in this area for formerly owning Creative Corner in Abingdon has recently returned to Oxfordshire and is now once again teaching. Dawn will be leading one day introductory workshops to decorative glass.

Emma Baldwin

Emma Baldwin was first introduced to clay at school at the age of 14. She has been working with clay on and off ever since. In 1992 she completed a degree in ceramics at Bristol Polytechnic, having been taught by both Walter Keeler and Mo Jupp - truly inspiring and a real privilege. After 30 years of teaching and running the Foundation Art & Design Course at Abingdon & Witney College, Emma is back making pots again. Her inspiration comes from many sources and is realised through the the process of combining hand built and wheel thrown forms. All Emma's pieces are unique, with evidence of the hand-built remaining integral to her work. You can see, and buy, her work at her website.

Jon Crute

Jon Crute studied studio ceramics at Falmouth College of Arts and went on to teach pottery in adult education and ran clay workshops. He also worked as a ceramic technician in Oxford. Jon specialises in throwing, pit/barrel firing and sagar firing in a gas kiln. Jon teaches weekly classes and one day firing technique workshops.

Sally Spencer

Sally Spencer FGA DGA, teaches one day Precious Metal Clay (PMC) classes. Sally is obsessed with jewellery and gemstones and has been designing and making jewellery since 1995. She is a member of JASSO (Jewellery And Silver Society of Oxford) and is keen to share her knowledge and prevent craft skills from being lost. Her work can be seen on her website and during Oxfordshire Art Weeks.

Steven Broughton

Steven Broughton is a ceramic artist currently working at Abingdon & Witney College, and fascinated with the functional form - things that anyone can use in everyday life. In his work, form always comes first, with decoration a secondary thought. Steven teaches one-day throwing workshops.
