Catherine Jones

Catherine retired as Academic Secretary of The University of Liverpool several years ago, where she was responsible for the central administration and support services for students, providing support for the quality assurance and enhancement of academic provision. Catherine was also a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Catherine is an alumna of the University and, post-graduation, worked for a local authority before returning to the University to work in the management of research contracts and scholarships. Catherine later managed the University's governance and Teaching Quality division before being appointed Academic Secretary. Catherine remains a Trustee of North West Cancer Research.

David Hazell

David is an ex-RAF Wing Commander and is now a European Director in a transformational leadership organisation that delivers sustainable culture change in shaping and driving efficiencies within challenging multi role organisations. David's leadership and project management skills have developed businesses in the oil, gas and banking industries across Europe in delivering Lean and Continuous Improvement capabilities.

David Putwain

David is a Professor of Education and Early Childhood at Liverpool John Moores University and is an Honorary Professional Research Fellow of Education and Development at University of Manchester. David was previously at Edge Hill University where he was a Senior Lecturer and Reader in Psychology. David is also an Ofqual Assessment Specialist and has previously been a Principal Examiner in A Level Psychology.

Jill Murphy

Jill is an Educational Psychologist and as Associate for Core Psychological Assessment Ltd, undertaking medico-legal work regarding to cognitive assessments. Jill is an Expert Witness Accreditation trained, a Member of the Association of Educational Psychologists and a Member of the Health Professions Council.

John Cook - Chairman

John has previous experience in large legal law practices and is now a partner at Cook Lawyers, specialising in Employment Services. John has over 20 years' experience running a business, managing a team, appearing in employment tribunals and advising on employment law and HR issues. John has experience within the education sector and has worked with a number of Wirral schools to offer HR advice and support, employment law and HR support. John leads the Trust's strategic direction, ensuring the Trust's vision, aim and objectives are delivered.

Lyn Hazell

Lyn is a highly experienced transformational consultant providing expertise across several areas, including; Continuous Improvement, Organisational Design, Leadership and Cultural Change. Prior to starting her own consultancy, Lyn worked in financial services as a senior operational leader and has delivered and led several transformation programmes realising significant cost savings. Lyn has worked with executive teams supporting the strategic direction of the business. She is Prince2 and Lean Sigma qualified.

Mike Kilbride - CEO

Mike is the Chief Executive Officer of BePART Educational Trust, Principal at Birkenhead Sixth Form College and Executive Headteacher at The Birkenhead Park School. Mike has overseen a journey of transformation that has resulted in the College being rated as Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted and winning the UK Sixth Form College of the Year at the TES Further Education Awards 2018. Mike's academic and teaching foundations lie in Psychology and his ethos of developing each and every student into capable and well-rounded individuals through Positivity, Ambition, Resilience and Thoughtfulness plays a key part in his success as a leader. Mike strongly believes in social mobility, inclusivity and that every student can achieve, no matter where they come from or what their academic starting point may be.

Neil Williams

Neil is an Educational Financial Specialist with Wesleyan Financial Services Limited. He has worked in Financial Services for over 30 year, providing not only personal financial advice but also providing advice to the Business and Corporate community. Neil is a member of the Personal Finance Society and is currently studying towards his Chartered status to gain a fellowship.

Nicholas Roe-Ely

Nicholas is an experienced pension fund trustee, has a track record of significant professional achievement and is a strong institutional and corporate network intermediary.

Pete Murphy

Pete is a Consultant to Neuropsychology and Pain Services (Jersey) and is also an Independent Medico-legal Practitioner. Pete was previously a Clinical Lead for Research and Quality in Neuropsychology and Pain and was Head of Neuropsychology Services at the Walton Centre. Pete is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society and a Member of the Health Professions Council.

Phil Adams

Phil is a qualified Chartered Accountant, currently employed as a Corporate Tax Manager at Langtons Professional Services Ltd. Phil deals mainly with owner-managed business, providing an all-encompassing tax advice service and giving advice on the impact of tax planning strategies on companies' financial statements to ensure the most effective corporate and personal tax structures are in place. Phil also chairs the Trust Audit Committee.
