Brian Barnes - President

Brian Barnes serves as our president and is responsible for product and business development, clinical affairs, medical education, operations and manufacturing. Previously, Dr. Barnes held various roles at Arteriocyte including the management and direction of Clinical, Quality and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to joining Arteriocyte, he served as an active duty Army Captain as biochemist/physiologist investigating human performance and tissue repair mechanisms. Dr. Barnes achieved his Ph.D. at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden in Integrative Physiology with a focus in cellular biochemistry and a Masters in Exercise Physiology from The Human Performance Lab at Ball State University.

Don Brown - CEO

Don Brown serves as our Chief Executive Officer. With more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Mr. Brown is known for building high-performing teams, driving operational improvements and achieving excellent financial results. Prior to leading Isto Biologics as CEO, Mr. Brown created and still serves as CEO and board member of Arteriocyte Inc, (now Compass Biomedical) where he successfully raised more than $65 million in capital for the Company, created Arteriocyte Medical Systems, Inc., and acquired the Magellan Autologous Concentration System technology portfolio from Medtronic. Mr. Brown's previous experience includes 12 years in sales, marketing and operational leadership roles at Schering Plough where he had P&L responsibility for one of the first billion dollar pharmaceutical franchises in the U.S., (CLARITIN), and at Viacell (acquired by Perkin Elmer) a stem cell therapy company focused on developing umbilical cord blood stem cell treatments targeting pediatric leukemia. His extensive management experience includes healthcare-focused business development, operations, and sales leadership roles. In addition to serving on the Board of Isto Biologics, Mr. Brown is also an advisor for the Live4Evan foundation whose mission is to provide temporary housing for families of children with heart disease. Mr. Brown received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.

Jerry Keefe

Jerry Keefe is our Vice President of Operations who oversees day-to-day operations ensuring Isto products reach our customers on time. Mr. Keefe joined Arteriocyte Medical Systems in 2009 with over 20 years of experience in SMB & startups, managing field support, order fulfillment and product & service delivery. Prior to joining Arteriocyte, he focused on scaling up software companies and delivering solutions at Firepond, Inc., where he led a team to deliver one of the first SaaS/Cloud based configuration solutions, Lexys, Inc. and Infocellular, Inc. where he teamed up with other leaders to provide best-in-class service and support following company mergers. Mr. Keefe received a MBA from Framingham State University and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from North Adams State College.

Kathy Dlugolecki

Kathy Dlugolecki joined Arteriocyte Medical Systems in May 2010 in the role of HR Representative and currently serves as HR Director. Prior to joining Arteriocyte, Ms. Dlugolecki worked in the staffing industry for over 15 years, with a primary focus on sales and business development, working closely with HR departments, large and small. That experience facilitated a natural transition to a corporate human resource role at Arteriocyte. Ms. Dlugolecki earned her bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, with a dual major in English and Economics.

Lindsay Murphy - VP of Sales

Lindsay Murphy serves as our Area Vice President of Sales. With over a dozen years of experience in sales, business development and team management, Ms. Murphy currently leads Isto's dynamic East Area Sales Team made up of both direct sales employees and independent representatives. Prior to joining Arteriocyte Medical Systems (now Isto Biologics) in 2012, Ms. Murphy was the Midwest Director for G2G consulting, a government affairs and business development firm focused on early-stage companies in the medical device and high tech industries. In this capacity, Ms. Murphy worked closely with her clients' executive teams, sales and marketing teams, and board of directors to create and execute upon growth acceleration strategies including: accessing capital, as well as non-dilutive government contracts and grants; pursuing product reimbursement and National Coverage Decisions through CMS; creating coalitions and strategic alliances in industry; and acting as a conduit between companies and government, potential investors, and economic development organizations. Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University and a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University.

Nathan Taylor - VP of Sales

Nate Taylor serves as our Vice President of Sales and Marketing. With over 17 years of experience in sales, marketing, and sales leadership, Mr. Taylor is known for developing high performing sales teams while leading from the front. Prior to leading Isto Biologic's Sales and Marketing, Mr. Taylor served in various sales roles at Arteriocyte, beginning as a Regional Sales Manager in 2009 and moving up to lead the Central and East sales teams as an Area Director. Mr. Taylor's previous experience includes 8 years in sales and marketing leadership roles at various organizations including OsteoMed where he was an award-winning sales performer specializing in Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Foot and Ankle, and Cranio Maxillofacial Surgery. His extensive experience includes building sales strategy from the ground up, cultivating and managing high performing teams of both independent and direct sales employees, and engineering high ROI direct marketing campaigns. Mr. Taylor received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from The Richard T. Famer School of Business at Miami University.

Neil Kizer

Neil Kizer is our Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. His prior roles since joining Isto in 2002 include Director of Process Development & Manufacturing and Director of Product Development & Engineering. He holds seven issued patents on cartilage regeneration technology. Prior to joining Isto, Dr. Kizer worked in academic research for 25 years focusing on cellular mechanisms of signal transduction in epithelial tissues and bone. He has authored or co-authored 16 scientific articles and book chapters. Dr. Kizer holds a B.S. and M.S. in biology from Truman State University and a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Illinois. He completed his postdoctoral training at Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Kizer was on the faculty of Washington University Medical School prior to joining Isto.
