Jay Patterson founded Southerland Communities to realize this vision and passion for the land. A former speaker of the American Land Developers Association, Charlie Patterson has earned a place in Who's Who of Business Leaders. His son Jay entered the family business in 1989 with a degree from Texas A&M University and currently serves as President of the company. His love of the land and outdoors extends through his business practices. Dan Mullins joined Southerland in 2006 with degrees from Baylor and SMU. Dan is the Vice President of Southerland in charge of Acquisitions, Entitlements and Development. Charlie, Jay and Dan bring a combined 100 years' experience to the development of land in the highly desirable Central Texas Hill Country.
